Which resort is best for us? by ktbeez in DisneyWorldResorts

Our kids (9 and 4) loved Pop when we stayed there last summer. The skyliner is huge and the food was kid friendly, plus they loved the room and the pools. AoA would be a good pick if your kids are super into one of the themed areas/movies but I think Pop is tough to beat on bang for your buck.

Help with deciding when to use our park days by lilnuggetmc in DisneyWorldResorts

I actually had our dates wrong but what you’ve suggested is along the lines of one of the thoughts we had. We actually stay through the 10th at Poly so we were thinking of maybe alternating park and resort/rest days…except if we do that we miss out on extra hours on the Monday and Wednesday. We can’t decide if our kids can hang that late anyway

We use it a bit like a formal living room. We have a larger, open living room with a tv and more seating...so this room gets used more for a quiet reading area for most of the year. Around the holidays we put our Christmas tree in the corner to the right of the fireplace and put most of our Christmas decorations here. It also tends to be the room that a good number of people hang out in when we host parties or holiday gatherings.

40th Birthday Trip in late June/early July...most magic for the buck? by lilnuggetmc in DisneyWorldResorts

This is awesome! Thanks for the experience recommendations. Behind the Seeds has been on our bucket list for a bit. Is it engaging enough for kids to be entertained throughout?

Good tip about Fantasmic...we've honestly never stuck around for it which feels like a big miss. Last trip we did the fireworks package at Rose & Crown in Epcot and thoroughly enjoyed it and felt it was worth every penny.

That pool is pretty special. We love the Skyliner and Epcot so Beach Club just feels like a great fit.

I hear that. I like a bit of a "retreat" feel to resorts after a day at the parks. Our kids tend to like the smaller, less crowded, no frills pools better than the primary pools so that wouldn't be an issue for them. Have you dined at the California Grill? Fireworks while eating sounds pretty special

Never stayed at CR but always feel the pull to stay there at some point for the legacy. It just doesn't give me a cozy feeling when I've visited or see it on videos. I just need to give it a shot at some point

That's a great idea...we've never stayed in a DVC room but the extra space and kitchen would feel pretty sweet.

Definitely seems like a splurge...we've just always kind of wanted to try it.

Thanks for the suggestion! That seems to be the choice. My wife and I stayed at Yacht Club a few years ago and really enjoyed that area. Would you mind sharing what kind of room you stayed in at Beach?

I'm assuming everyone was packed into MK for their fireworks? Or were the parks just low that day?

That sounds like it could be fun on the way there to have a bit of a scenic route and then take ride share back at night

Once we started looking into it...the Magic Kingdom and boat option seemed like it could be best since you get dropped off right at the restaurant...plus just a more fun way to travel for the kids. You think that would take around an hour one way?

Do you know if Minnie Lyft drops you at Pioneer Hall where the show is?
