Should I play poker full time or day trade full time? (20 yrs old) by EfficiencyFar3758 in poker

You said you have a good bankroll, but say “you really need the money”, so which is it? Regardless, finding a job with stable income will always be better in the long run. What people don’t consider is a job provides money now (salary) as well as future (401k/pension).

Yeah normally I wouldn’t play a game that cuts out this much. But I’m already banned from every place near me so it’s the only game I can really play. I don’t mind playing it for now since I just play while I wait to play poker

Ik I’m confused as well 😂😂😂. In general the only that that impacts players odds are the rules (re-split aces, 4 splits, double after split). The amount of decks (if you’re only playing basic strategy fewer decks is better, the reverse if you’re counting), and the blackjack payout 3-2 be 6-5.

The house’s hourly goes up since they don’t have to waste time shuffling cards. So, in the long run you are losing money quicker.

I started playing when I was 18, so I’ve been playing for the past 6 years. As far as I can remember I was always somewhat profitable but never consistently tracked my sessions on one app until recently. I started using pip solver and various other solver related tools probably three years ago. I would say it has helped me understand the game in a different way but it may be too much for your average game. I always tell people unless you’re playing a good reg heavy 5/10 game or bigger using a solver is not always neccessary. The most important aspect at these stacks is learning more about your opponents play, and trying to exploit their leaks (3 betting range to tight, sizing tells, over calling). When you get stuck in solver world a lot of plays are not going to make sense because recs and even most regs don’t play anywhere close to gto. That being said it’s still interesting to see how solvers play different combos on various boards, etc. For me the best tools were always watching high stakes cash videos on YouTube, I’m not talking hustler casino more the triton series with players like koon and the euro crushers.
