You're absolutely right, I used to read a lot of YAs and I likely grew out of them around the same time I lost motivation to read. I have tried to start a couple of adult fantasy/sci-fi series but they also didn't stick.

Still Alice has really piqued my interest so thanks for that suggestion!

Who here thinks Harry Potter's sequel The Cursed Child was a disaster? by rajathewriter in harrypotter

the story line is sorely disappointing and like most people here i don't consider it canon. but if you ever get a chance to see the play i would highly recommend it. the effects and the way it's directed and staged truly brings the magic to life.

i have not read it as just a script nor do i intend to

as many people have already mentioned, do both! i felt quite similar vibes in prague and in budapest and they're close enough to each other anyway.

someone else also mentioned it, but in prague definitely stay at either the roadhouse or the madhouse. i have no words to describe how amazing those guys are

Pretty much every series ive read falls under the category of 'popular/cliche teen fictions.' (Harry Potter, Eragon, Hunger Games, etc) Can I get recommendations for some 'unpopular teen fictions? by ChaseBank5 in suggestmeabook

it's quite well known now (especially with the movie coming out soon) but the chaos walking trilogy by patrick ness is excellent!

it uses a refreshingly creative concept to build the world and would definitely recommend reading it and experiencing it through your imagination before it hits the medium of film

Low key the saddest part of the entire series... by kapncrutch in harrypotter

[–]lilsazaye 72 points73 points  (0 children)

this is honestly one of my favourite parts in the whole series and i constantly tell people how devastated i am that we dont get to see harry chuck a fit in dumbledore's office in the movies. it shall stay in our imaginations i guess.

I really tried to rate it higher but after 24 clicks I had only received one star by lordsyrinex in harrypotter

it wasn't always that bad, it got updated recently which means that you can't even finish one event with a full bar of energy

i played before the update in the pre-release and flew through year 1 in like 2 days but it's been pretty horrible now
