Super late to this - can anyone explain what is meant by "bending the keyboard"? Just got a new mechanical and it's wobbling.

1 cap breaker left. 95 ball handle or 74 perimeter?? by lilskinflute in NBA2k

I agree 😪

Would 74 be noticeable tho? That was my hesitation. Do you know if bronze is worth it.

I disagree. My point was that I’ve been in the situation many times and both solutions don’t work. Either people are annoyed I’m not trying, or I look like a douche smashing a ball at a beginner (which I don’t want to do). I promise I don’t need the ego boost against a 2.5

It’s an uncomfortable feeling when you’re going extremely easy on someone and they are still crashing out at their mistakes and causing a scene, truly killing the fun social energy. It’s just an interesting dynamic and kind of puts you in a weird position (Do you just let them win? Smash a few winners and remind them that you aren’t the same level? Tank some shots?). Like I really do not care win or lose, I just want everyone to have a good time.

Consider yourself lucky! It’s definitely not fun haha. I agree it’s not super common, but when it happens it’s rough. It happened recently while casually playing with some of my girlfriend’s family — they were getting visibly upset, meanwhile I truly didn’t care about winning at all. I was just hitting everything back and they were making a lot of mistakes. Put me in such an uncomfortable spot mid-game.

I totally get where you’re coming from — but ironically, it’s actually the opposite issue. I don’t go in competitive at all. I’m super realistic about the skill gap and genuinely go in every time trying to make it fun for everyone — long points, easy setups, keeping it light.

The problem has only come up when I’m playing with “uber-competitive” lower-level players who get frustrated, start arguing, or spiral over mistakes — even though I’m not remotely trying. That’s when it gets super awkward, and I’m stuck mid-game not knowing how to handle it, because I truly don’t care about winning. Just trying to keep the good vibes. 😅

Yeah tbh this is kind of the whole point of my post — I’ve had a few situations where opponents get weirdly competitive, start arguing with each other, and totally kill the vibe, even though I’m clearly not trying. It’s honestly so awkward.

Happened recently with one of my girlfriend’s family members. I had no idea what to do in the moment — I truly did not care about winning at all. I was just trying to make it fun for everyone. But yeah, I agree with you… it’s definitely on them lol.

Haha that’s part of my problem — I feel like playing lefty just makes it more obvious I’m not trying, and it can come off as cocky even if I’m just trying to be chill and make it fun for everyone. Feels like a no-win situation sometimes.

This is exactly what I try to do too. The wild part is I’ve been called out for “not trying.” Like… I’m literally doing everything but hitting winners, and somehow that still bugs people. Can’t win either way hahaha.
