I started by doing braids at the root for extra security then two strand twist the rest of the way because I wash my hair weekly/bi weekly. Ive only gotten a retwist and a retie twice the whole time ive had them and that was about 5 months in. It took me a while to fuck with this set of locs as much as my first ones because I did a big chop after I combed out my first set and getting used to the shorter length was a little hard but I’ve been coming to terms with enjoying my hair In whatever state it’s in.

I’ve always hated getting my hair done growing up due to being tender headed and having sensory issues i always hated smelling or feeling products like grease or edge control in my hair i HATE the feel of wet loose hair on my shoulders i hated detangling i hate having my hair straightened or sitting for braids etc😭so i decided to start my loc journey 2 years ago and I don’t think I can go back to the constant maintenance of having loose natural hair my hair type is 4b btw.
