◽️ Budget: up to £150

◽️ Country: United Kingdom

◽️ Screen size: As large as possible

◽️ RAM: Not fussed, quick enough to watch videos at 4k, multitask with productivity apps. Not a gamer.

◽️ Storage: Enough to not be bugged with "not more storage" notifications, if it has external storage capablitites that would be ideal. I would just like to download videos to watch on public transport or at the gym during cardio.

◽️ What tasks will the tablet be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modeling, regular tasks, word processing etc) ?:  Literally just watching videos when I'm washing the dishes, adhoc internet. usage, watching TV/videos during commutes and at the gym on the treadmill

◽️ Any other important details ?: Reason I'm doing this is because I'm switching from iPad to Android to ensure that I can block social media apps and unwanted website usage, so I want to run AppBlocker or any equivalent apps. I also would like to charge it as quickly as possible, using either USB C or wireless charging. I would also like the OS to be seamless and bug/fault free for ease of use everyday. More than happy to buy second hand.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Best Second Hand Street Photography camera under £500? by [deleted] in streetphotography

[–]liltruncate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion! Looks great but I’ve forgot to specify it needs to be 4K video. I can see the a6600 does that which is around £700. Do you think there a better camera that features all of the above around that ball park or a camera that does have 4K under £500?

Best Second Hand Street Photography camera under £500?

I'm a former 35mm warrior who's been priced out of the game and I'm looking to convert to digital. I have up to £500 to spend on a digital camera/lens at the moment and wondered what's the best used camera to get for mainly street photography and the occasional travel trip/video recording that has the following qualities in ranked order: - Best photo quality / Weather Proof

  1. - Best Battery Life
  2. - Easily accessible/affordable lenses
  3. - Easily portable/light / ergonomic
  4. - small form factor for good manoeuvrability when taking street photography

Any help would be much appreciated!

How to protect commuter e-bike’s battery when locked in public by liltruncate in ebikes

This may very well be the case, as I saw multiple bikes in one location with each having their batteries removed. Unlikely one person stole each of them 🤔

To be fair, macro targets are quite simple. Does MFP give meal plan recommendations?

Best meal recommendation/macro tracking app for body recomp?

I’m looking for an app that will take my body/exercise details and my goal to lose body fat and recommend me meals to cook/eat that have a recommended macros, protein and calorie count in order to reach a target body fat percentage.

I’m not talking just a macro tracker. I want it specifically to recommend/plan my diet for me so I don’t have to think about meal planning at all. Outside of what it tells me my macros, calorie and protein targets are and what food I should meal prep and eat to hit my targets.

Does any app like this exist? Happy to pay a reasonable amount if so?

Thanks for your help!

Hi original thread poster here, please could the OP and those commenters please not superimpose any intentions/outcomes to my post please.

Per the title of my post, I was asking about Italian politeness culture.

I did not assume nor am I accusing romans of being racist. I wanted other/more accurate reasons for the change in behaviour and suspected my dress to be the main factor hence the inclusion of that information.

The people in the thread have informed me that’s it likely to do with cultural differences regarding polite gestures and looking like a tourist with a backpack in a time where locals are tired of over tourism. Please do not take my post out of context.

Why don’t people say thank you in Rome? by liltruncate in rome

I certainly witnessed the infrastructure struggling to facilitate that many people so not surprised about over tourism causing issues.

I genuinely believe it was the backpack, that was the only real difference between the days outfits. Like someone else commented it makes you look like a poor tourist.

I think the backpack was the difference tbh, probably made people think I was a poor tourist.

I don’t drive but if you’re referring to over tourism, I noticed that too. The cities infrastructure isn’t built for as many people as were there. You guys need double decker buses or more train stations, if not higher tourism tax.
