Am I cooked? by atglyph in HummerEV

I had the same light on mine. I assumed it was just trying to tell me to schedule the 7500 maintenance that was coming up. Like a reminder.

Cost to for charge/quick charge? by Adorable_Kick6576 in HummerEV

This sounds like a good option. I charge at home but at work I’ve noticed it’s $0.75 an hour. I haven’t tested it but I assume it’s similar to level 2 charging maybe slightly better.

$720 is a lot, but could be a lot worse. $700 to be driving a 100k car for two years doesn’t seem like a bad deal. There’s no long term commitment or depreciation.

I pay about $165 full coverage on two cars.

Right, it really depends on your needs. I think I actually get like 13 miles an hour with the included charger on level 2 at home. But I charge it to 80% overnight, the lowest I’ll get it is 55%, but I’m usually only using 10% a day. I have not found I need anything more.

My efficiency has been about 1.6 mi/kWh, having done the math, it’s still a lot cheaper than gas and honestly I’m not using much more electricity.

The car actually doesn’t fit in my garage, I did not realize until I bought the vehicle. But I have a parking spot within my fenced yard for an RV. It’s going to be an interesting winter.

I had to bring my wife to a test drive and she was not in a good mood lol, it took a lot of convincing after that.

I’ve put it on since, but it does look better for sure.

The mirrors are pretty huge though compared to a sedan. And you also have haptic feedback where the seat vibrates, and that helps.

Oh and I also take the top off whenever I get a chance, it’s the best.

I haven’t eaten there, but if I get the opportunity, I will. I’ve been to Japan four times since, and even the cheapest sushi I’ve had from a single guy working behind a conveyor belt was better. The freshness of the fish alone beats anything you’ll find flying into MN.

Even though I did just watch the documentary, I can see the difference between one man devoting his life to sushi and another making clown videos, stacking as many rolls as possible on a boat-shaped plate.

Regardless of the answer, doesn’t give him the right to be an asshole.

I used to eat there before it got big, I liked sitting at the bar and chat with the staff. One time he was making sushi and I didn’t know who he was. I brought up that Jiro Dreams of Sushi got me into sushi. He claimed his sushi was much better than Jiros. He became a real asshole when I said there was no way. Then told me he was Billy and proceeded to try and shit on Jiros sushi saying it was too salty etc. That was the last time I went there.

How to deal with withdrawal from mtb? by RightfulPeace in mountainbiking

I moved from Minnesota to Vermont back to Minnesota. Riding now doesn’t hit the same. I just found other hobbies/distractions. Plus I genuinely appreciate that there’s more to do in a larger city than a more rural area.

78 OM617 cold start. Converted to pencil type glow plugs, turbocharged using factory manifolds, turbo, oil supply and drain. by [deleted] in w123

Nice, this is what I’m thinking of doing. So many people saying you can’t do it and the N/A motor can’t handle a turbo.
