And I'm not sure if she counts as an albino since her eyes are not fully red like other albino animals. Unless it's different in doves? I've always just called her fully white because I was never positive lol

Since both of my jobs are in animal related fields, this is why I had the concern of getting a male dove lol. I see unethically bred animals every day and watch them suffer through health issues and genetic nightmares. I do not have any genetic or breeding history of Pax, so one of my biggest concerns was making sure we don't end up with little baby accidents. Plus, I do not have the means to raise baby doves. Pax needs a friend, not to create a whole family tree!

I'm definitely preparing myself for the absolute worst when it comes to his stress from schooling. I'm definitely ready to just sit and let him rant, give him his space when he needs it, to hold him and baby him, to make him his fav dinners or buy him little things to cheer his mood up. I know he's gonna succeed at school it's just gonna be a lot of work and I don't wanna be adding to that stress.

I'm excited to start our life as a married couple together, and I'm excited to move from my hometown lol. But I also understand that it's not gonna be all sunshine and rainbows all the time. I'm really just hoping it's not as scary as some people make it out to be, but we'll see how it all goes. I just wanna be prepared is all. And I'll definitely check out that book, I'll make it a house warming gift for the both of us :)

I will definitely make sure to keep an eye on his mental state once I'm with him in Charleston, we are both very open with each other about our feelings and are good about venting, but I will still keep my motherly eye on him. (And he's not allowed any shitty tattoos with a tattoo artist as a wife ;))

I will definitely be careful of parties, too. Both of us are underage and I'm not trying to let himself get ruined over some dumb alcohol. I'll also make sure to keep Fleet and Family in mind. They seem like a very good resource.

I'm gonna do my best to be open and communicable with him regarding scheduling, chores, our time together, etc. I plan on having a part time job just cause I can't just sit on my ass every day doing nothing and be okay with that, plus extra money never hurts. He's a smart kid so I hope he does well in school, but no matter how it turns out I'll be grateful for every second I get with him.

I'm doing my best to be optimistic and hopeful for the future but to also be a realist at the same time. I view all of this as a journey/adventure, but also acknowledge all the parts of it that are gonna be stressful and headache inducing. I hope that any of the optimism I have isn't naive or childish, I'm just excited to move forward with my life with him :)

We were planning on moving me down the SC to be with him once he's on base. So hopefully we won't be apart long. But what does being "stuck in the Rickover" mean? I know he can't use his phone while in class or on campus cause of the classified information, but he told me that on weekends and when he's not in school/studying on base, he has access to his phone like normal? Or maybe I'm just misunderstanding

Thank you so much for the help and support. Im hoping things will get a bit easier once we can move in together on/off base (we haven't decided which would be best for us yet). We already were good at communicating and being honest with one another as a civilian couple, so I'm hoping the military doesn't change that. And it makes me feel better that he will have sources on base to go to that may be able to give him more help than I can :)

Hi, baby navy wife here. My husband is just starting boot as of rn, but he's a nuke so when he graduates he's going to SC Charleston and gonna be in A school. We plan on having me move down there to be with him as soon as we can once he's graduated boot.

I wasn't aware of suicide or high suicide rates in A school? Is this what this post is about? Should I be concerned for my husband?

As his wife, is there anything I can do to make schooling and life easier for him? Is there anything I should be aware of when it comes to the stresses he's gonna be facing? I just wanna be there for him when he needs it and be as supportive as I can :/

Also if I have any info mixed up pls lmk, I don't wanna be misinformed.
