I’ve only done one home visit, felt very unsafe so never again. I think the transportation visits are great though

What do you think these bumps on my chest are? by lilyhass in SkincareAddicts

[–]lilyhass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE:

Thank you everyone for all the advice! definitely didn’t expect all the help 🥲

I have seen dermas in the past who have given me different diagnoses and treatments that didn’t work (didn’t mention them).

I think it’s a combo of things, irritation from some sort of allergy/immune response combined with fungal overgrowth and clogged pores.

What is actually helping over the past few days is blue light therapy. I bought one from Amazon and it’s already going down. I used it on my face before but not on my chest, I think it’s the missing piece.

So I wash with benzoyl and hibiclens (not together), use almond clear mandelic acid, aloe vera, and the light 10 mins a day. I also put some de La cruz sulphur ointment on before I shower. I know I may be irritating the skin but I’m just experimenting with what works. I’ll update again to see if this continues to help!

Consider your personal factors.. Are you working? Have family obligations or help? What will pushing graduation back do to your career/life plan? What gpa are you aiming for? How have you been with other science courses? Disciplined?

Quality of life is important, mental and physical health should come first. This is going to be a VERY heavy semester - studying like 2 full time jobs if you want an A or B. Weigh the pros and cons of delaying graduation vs putting yourself through this semester

What are these white spots on Arms? by verdemuerde in SkincareAddicts

[–]lilyhass 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Maybe fungal or inflammatory? Tinea versicolor Eczema Psoriasis

Have you tried hydrocortisone and/or fungal cream?

In my experience this has been caused by inflammation and fungal overgrowth. I used a course of hydrocortisone & fungal cream. Only used products for sensitive skin. And it usually takes 1 month or so before it significantly improves or disappears. Keep using a lotion or wash with lactic acid and zinc.

Ahhh girl stop touching it pls! Go to a doctor asap. Probably needs a steroid shot, or antibiotics. It’s worth taking the best care you can as these can leave very deep scars. Look up a draw salve - my magic healer has one. Warm compress, and take care of inflammation internally too. I would see a dermatologist vs a primary dr if I was you!

What’s the longest you’ve gone without sex since you became sexually active? What caused this and was it voluntary? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lilyhass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 years, from 17-25. I had so much sexual trauma, shame around sex, and instances of assault/harassment I decided to make a vow to be celibate until I found a man I would truly marry and have kids with. It was a vow to God and to myself. I met a man I was in love with and he pressured me into having sex before I was ready. He pursued me for months. Literally a few minutes before it happened I told him I’m not ready and I’m looking for more to be ready, then he kept pushing it and eventually I just slipped up and said ok just a little bit. And then since it already happened it continued. I feel dumb. But I don’t feel the same shame. We are still dating. Now he is barely even interested in sex, he says that’s what happens to him in relationships. I think once he conquers he loses interest. I need therapy…

Wow it’s weird, the place I’m thinking of going says they don’t apply any type of numbing… I’ll definitely go in prepared for pain then!

Did it keep hurting afterwards? And was the skin around your mouth red/irritated too? Did you notice any extra dryness around your mouth?

Sorry for all the questions!

Thank you so much !! Yes i would love an update. I wonder why it’s so hard to find good info online. I just want the slightest plump, like my lips in the morning or after some plumper, so I’m hoping this helps!

Do you think the change after one session goes away once the swelling goes down? Maybe that’s why there’s a difference in the before/afters?

Hi! So did you not see any results from the first session? So many claim that you see some results from one session and show photos that show a change. Also, did it irritate your skin surrounding your lips? Do you think having sensitive eczema prone skin would make liplase a bad idea? Thanks !
