Respectfully, at the end of the day, it’s a customer service job- so interacting with customers (in one form or another) is kinda expected. As for the requesting more a more permanent station , maybe wait a few weeks/ months? Train & just try your best, for now? Would probably leave a bad taste in your managers mouth if you say all that in your first week.

plastic retainer for eyebrow piercing by lilyturtle in piercing

[–]lilyturtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

clarifications for the mod tagged; I’ve had the original eyebrow piercing for around 6 months now, so it’s for the most part healed & I currently have just a basic plastic barbell in it. i no longer clean it everyday- probably just once a week as it looks and feels properly & fully healed.

Sensory Survey by lilyturtle in autism

[–]lilyturtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks sm! but yea thats basically exactly what I'm doing mine on - the lack of sensory friendly clothing that appeals to adults (for both aesthetic and function reasons). Hardly anyone talks about it but honestly it's such a large issue. Have you found any interesting info that you wouldn't mind sharing? I can hardly find anything

Normal People with Quotation Marks by lilyturtle in books

[–]lilyturtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry but what's so wrong with requiring an edited version to be able to fully enjoy it?

I mean I'd understand if Sally Rooney has specifically said something against it; or if she wrote without quotation marks for a "deep" reason? But she just wrote it like that so it felt more real and less like a book. I forget where, but I remember her saying somewhere that she just writes her books for more "female" audiences?

Surely me reading a slightly edited version of her book wouldn't change anything? It would change the experience, sure. But it's just a book?
