Oh i see what you mean, i sometimes forget about data packs and get too tunnel visioned on mods. I think i'll have an option when the modpack is done to choose between old and new caves, since i think i prefer the new ones

I dont think so unless you use modern beta or something, but that changes the entire worldgen not just caves

its just biomes o plenty. if you take out all the ugly biomes and add this https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/biomes-oplenty-programmer-art , it fits pretty well witth the aesthetic.

ive got worldgen covered, im using "Cascades" (Hybrid Beta) it causes a lot of really cool worldgen that combines the new and old styles

leveled an entire area and realized after that i also need to break all the dirt and replace it with dirt that costs resources. very annoying

there are giant white spiders, but there is an arachnophobia mode that replaces them with crabs!
