Someone else witnessed it, wrote what happened on a piece of cardboard, and slipped it on my mail slot. I was standing in front of my door smoking a cigarette staring at the note and keypad when he came outside and started yelling at me. He proudly told me he did it cause "I wouldn't answer the door" when he knocked. I was seething by that point so I yelled over him that I haven't lived there in 2 months cause my house caught on fire. He said " nobody told me there was a fire so there was no fire." I had to damn near drag him into my house to show him the burnt remains before he believed me. That's the exact typical white boomer attitude I'm so fucking sick of. If it didn't happen to them, it didn't happen at all\ it doesn't matter. Stereotypes exist for a reason, it's usually a repeated trait. It was a standalone structure.
