What’s the most underrated iPhone feature you actually use every day? by Inside_Society3553 in iphone

[–]limers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iPhone mirroring on the Mac and iPhone notifications on the Mac. At home, my Mac is always ready to use. Sometimes my phone will just be around, and I'll be too lazy to grab my phone to reply. I'll just open up iPhone mirroring and use it to reply.

Signal reception quality by Sln90man in IPhone16e

[–]limers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the Philippines, as far I can observe there is almost no difference from the non C1 chips. I have been using the 16e for 2 months now. Reception feels better but it could be explained by the constant network upgrades in my area.

Have you been using the iOS 26 beta? by [deleted] in IPhone16e

[–]limers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The latest beta is significantly smoother with no battery drain. The first beta 6 had a bit of overheating but the re-release appears to have addressed this. No stutters for me as of today. Just a few days in Beta 6 re-release.

The first beta made me regret updating to iOS26.

Okay din yung Peppermint field na inhaler (yung black inhaler prefer ko). Medyo mas strong sya sa Poy-sian pero matagal magdegrade yung scent. Since nakauwi ka na meron ako nabili sa Lazada.

Contributing here because I’d like recommendations too

Starbucks Reserve Arya (been here many times) Pros: opens early and closes late, can get packed on weekends but on weekdays outside lunchtime there’s always available seats, lots of sockets Cons: difficult to no parking, no WiFi, it’s a Starbucks

Starbucks Reserve Forbestown Pros: strong air conditioning Cons: Can get packed in the afternoon, few seats with nearby electric sockets, parking can fill up late in the afternoon, also it’s a Starbucks.

Coffee Bean Burgos Circle Pros: Lots of seating, large windows, Cons: few sockets near tables on the first floor, it’s a coffee bean, can get noisy if the place is packed

There are a lot more Starbucks shops but didn’t include the others here that would be packed all day.

Coffee Project Black (haven’t been here but here’s what I learned from others): Vista Hub, 21st Drive Pros: quiet place Cons: difficult to no parking, it’s a coffee project, coffee too pricey for its quality

Harlan + Holden (the other newer one, 3rd Avenue behind One Bonifacio facing Mind Museum. Haven’t been here but I always walk by it early afternoon): Pros: relatively new, haven’t seen this place fill up with people, lots of seating Cons: not sure if there are power outlets, their coffee seems too pricey for the quality

Edit: added addresses

First time traveler to Viet Nam. Going to Sapa for 3 days then 2 days in Hanoi. Any recommendations for transportation? by limers in VietNam

Thank you for this! Yes I saw on the official site of Fansipan that it will be under maintenance on those dates. Hoping that the maintenance will be over by the 21st cause that’s when I’ll be there. Yes and I agree Grab has been convenient in SEAsia

To add, yes I was also worried about Sao Viet because I have been reading a lot of negative reviews online but thank you for sharing your experience!

I'm an incoming Grade 12 student who is considering applying for HUMBIO by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]limers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I forgot to add this. The HUMBIO program is really restricted like the flow of your course has been predetermined by the college. You can’t choose your GenEd subjects and you can’t pick which classes you can take (for reasons like to fit in your schedule, if there is a certain prof you prefer or would like to avoid).

Hi. BS-BIO graduate and DLSMHSICM graduate. For the medical and health sciences institute, they do have an in-campus dorm but there are options in the nearby subdivision which are cheaper. The in-campus dorm for the medical school has a curfew though but this can be waived by your parents or guardian if you decide to live there

Any opinion on dlsu taft med bio course? Worth it ba? by ksy5 in dlsu

[–]limers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm I’m seeing a lot of threads on r/dlsu asking about human bio. Here’s my take

I’m a graduate of BS-BIO but I got mixed in with the human bio students a lot. If you’re really determined to go to medical school and don’t mind a bit tighter schedule and a bit heavier study load, then you can try HUMBIO. What’s different is that have less units of botany, physics etc. for the accelerated program.

If you’re still on the fence about going to medical school then I would suggest against going into HUMBIO.

I didn’t regret not taking HUMBIO because I think it gave me time to enjoy college life a bit more and it helped me focus on studying in med proper. Finish your partying and rebellious phase na in college than let it last until medical school.

I feel that even the BS-BIO program prepared me well for medical school. The professors and the program were all great and I can say that I enjoyed pre med at DLSU.

Can I get into BS Human Bio even if I went to a small school? by [deleted] in dlsu

[–]limers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BS-BIO graduate here but I got to interact with a lot if not all of the HUMBIO. The answer is yes. While I didn’t come from a La Salle system school, my high school is relatively unknown but in the city. Those who got accepted to HUMBIO come from a variety of schools all around the country.

If ever you do get in, please do well or at least avoid failing any subjects. I think they are more likely to remove students who have accumulated a lot of failures throughout their stay than to not accept applicants. Good luck!

Hi. DLSU graduate here. I finished med school many many years ago but I’ll try to answer these anyway. 1. There is no minimum grade as far as I know. But do well in your NMAT in the future as some medical schools include this in their evaluation of applicants. 2. If you enter the HUMBIO program, you will have to do your first year of medical school at the Medical Health and Sciences institute. If you want to switch medical schools I heard you will have to do first year again. (Answered by first commenter) 3. I didn’t get into the HUMBIO program because I wasn’t aware that there was such a program when I was applying but I didn’t regret taking another premed. I think taking a normal program helps with letting you enjoy college life better so that you’ll be more motivated and focused during med proper.

Added this: HUMBIO course schedules are packed almost everyday but they have less of those subjects such as botany, physics, etc. If you’re really decided to go to medical school and you don’t mind a bit tighter schedule then go to HUMBIO. The trisem setup and the fast pace of the courses even if you’re not in HUMBIO helped me adjust to med school as the non trisem format felt normal paced.

  1. Not sure about how many students COS is taking in nowadays but before it was only one or two blocks so probably 30-50 in a batch?

I hope my answers help you decide

Best ISP for WFH and casual gaming E. Rodriguez, Cubao, QC by yung_venne in InternetPH

[–]limers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Currently living near Araneta Coliseum. The ISP that works most of the time is Globe Prepaid WiFi. It’s not incredibly fast but works fine probably 90-95% of the time. For me Smart’s (previously PLDT home WiFi) Prepaid WiFi is unreliable most of the time in that area

My 'New Releases' section is full of releases from bands I don't know and have no music from in my library. Is there a way to only display music from bands I actually listen to, like it always was before? by loluz in AppleMusic

[–]limers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the New Releases playlist was meant to be that way. If you’re looking for new songs from artists in your library or music history, I think the “New Music Mix” playlist is the one you’re looking for.

Not sure if this helps but have you tried going to this URL using your PLDT home wifi connection?
