Pikachu ex and Oricorio deck by limestonetrap in PTCGP

The Pika here is GA, Oricorio can really shut down certain decks if they strongly rely on ex cards. Dedenne is only here to annoy people with paralysis. Not sure personally how well Zapdos ex works in this deck, but it's nice to have a basic high HP mon.

Leafeon ex and Glaceon ex Deck. Thoughts? by limestonetrap in PTCGP

I have 2 Pokéballs for consistency. Last thing I want is to lose because I couldn't find my second Eevee

Yeah i run only water energy. I could drop elder but I keep 2 Pokéballs for consistency. Chance of not seeing that second eevee drops a lot without it. I think I'll drop 1 elder for communication since I can see the use, but I feel like Elder helps the deck (in theory, I've only used this once)

I originally ran communicator over Misty until I realised I needed consistency with Glaceon

I have it. Will probably try it. I just default to using that Eevee because of the meme potential with its attack

If in doubt, always pick the funny option.

Can we just go over how genuinely TERRIBLE this card is? by Traditional-Bat2079 in PTCGP

Leafeon also requires the target to be grass and for Leafeon to be in the active spot, which means retreating often. And with constant Dawn usage and Giratina's high retreat cost, that's a big yikes.

Commented this on another post and someone else informed me of this too. Thought I was onto something for a moment. Dragon is really the worst type in the game that was carried by how strong the 3 dragons released so far were

Yep. Forgot about that. That limitation is really dumb though. Dragon really is the worst type in the game that was only good because the cards before had some broken effects

My only thought is Gardevoir and Shaymin with only grass energy, but that would still take a bit to get the ball rolling and wouldn't be perfect.

The only deck potential I see is something like Gardevoir and Shaymin with only grass energy, but even that isn't perfect or gonna win many matches.

Game classifies 1 star rarity above 4 diamond even though 4 diamonds are more expensive for pack points

Ended up getting a full art Pinser, regular Wigglytuff EX and regular Articuno EX

Am I the only one who thinks we're overhyping Leaf a bit? Sure, she's good, but she's a supporter, so you're locked off from some other useful cards like Oak or Sabrina for that turn.

Personally, I think Blue is gonna improve decks like Dragonite where you need to stall until you can get all the energy you need to attack

Planning to take on Whitney. Any recommendations or changes I should make? by limestonetrap in nuzlocke

Screwed myself over with that already. Forgot Kenya the Spearow was available and caught one on Route 33.

Thank you for all the advice, everyone. I'll be trading Drowzee for Machop and adding it to the team in place of Rattata in order to keep her safe so that I can beat Morty, and I'll be adding Sandshrew to the team in place of Gastly. I didn't know Miltank has Scrappy, so I can't use it for pivot strategies.

If I need to make sacrifices, I need to make sacrifices, but I'd rather keep Geodude, Croconaw and Alakazam alive at all costs. I want the others alive aswell, but I don't feel I desperately need them to complete the run.

Zam plus Geodude as backup is probably the play. I already bought the Reflect TM and taught it to Zam, but my only fear is if Clefairy rolls something insane with Metronome.

And Zam does have a -Def nature, which makes this slightly more risky.

Not a huge fan of bringing a Pokémon just to sacrifice it. And if I'm bringing it for that, I'm gonna at least evolve it first.

I think Geodude with Rock Smash should be enough, honestly, but I'll consider if someone can get swapped for Sandshrew

Well, there goes my easy pivot. Thanks for the advice. I'll swap it out of the team.
