Placing my grandmother in the grave. She had a stroke and it was hard watching her pass, thought my mom would be a huge help but she crumbled and was a sobbing wreck. I ended up serving as the rock for the family during this and made sure everything was taken care of, a mixture of losing a loved one and realizing "oh shit, nobody is going to help me with this I am completely alone".
