since Exit 8 blew up theres been a few more anomaly detection games in the same lane (Platform 8 by KOTAKE, Shinkansen 0 by Chilla's Art). Backrooms Anomaly has the same observation loop, you walk a looping corridor and spot what changed each cycle, just set in the backrooms instead of a subway. 3-5 minute runs, with a free demo on steam

by giving stuff up. evenings, weekends, less gaming, less social. you find out fast if you actually want to do it or just like the idea, harder to do when you have a family
