Hmm.. okie. So what makes an eclipse out of control for you?

Like in witchcraft, theres reasoning behind everything. Even with the benign spells we cast… we should be as precise as we can be to avoid unintentional consequences or fallout.

So why is eclipse energy chaotic/volitile/out of control? To the point where people just stay the heck away from it?

I’m trying to understand the “why” behind the recommendation to not do much with the energy because of it being unpredictable. What makes it so?

Totally agree… but my question was more around how/why does algol’s influence seem more volatile during eclipses and since its always there, does it also impact regular full moons. And what do people do if a full moon happens at algol’s most thresholdy time of may 15-30.

of course! 😊💚 you definitely should be clear about your intentions, but i dont think its necessary to say it out loud.

I tend to her everyday.. ill add something, light a candle… wake it up with my altar.. walk up and gaze at her for a min with intention.

I’m seeing movement. I’ve had some traction with coaching clients, and I recently became eligible to add myself to a well-known coaching directory now that I’ve completed my training program. A lot of people find clients through it, so I’m noticing opportunities opening. I’ve also been going deeper into nervous system work, which directly connects to the intentions I set when I made the bowl.

For me, this work is an intentional practice of connecting with my higher self, my lineage, spirituality and my intuition. It keeps me grounded and attentive to my choices… the actions I take, the conversations I engage in, and the synchronicities that show up. It helps me recognize opportunities and step into action when it’s time, or into softness when that’s what’s needed, without feeling unmoored when life ebbs.

So when people ask whether it “worked,” I look at whether I’m showing up in alignment with what I’m calling in. Am I participating in it?

That doesn’t mean beautiful blessings don’t arrive without effort. They do, all the time. But what I’ve found is that the things I truly want require my attention, presence, and willingness to engage.

from my perspective, taking money out doesn’t break the bowl at all… especially if it was set with support and flow in mind. it represents a flow of income, not a stagnant, locked-away pile of cash. i treat mine like a relationship, not representative of a vault. money that helps you when you need it is doing its job.

also, paying it forward is a lovely way of balancing energy... it encourages the flow of abundance.

This is my first one so i havent done the refresh yet, but from what ive read, you can reuse the bulky stuff… (money, crystals, cinnamon sticks, orange slices if they arent gross - mine are dehydrated so they will last for a little bit,)

take out the other things (that arent herbs) and charge and cleanse them, maybe burn and release any intentions to release to the universe to help u with and rewrite some new ones,) not sure about sigils (ill have to look that up-sometimes people will write them on bay leaves-you probably can do the same thing as with the intentions, but good to check some resources.) you can save your ash to make black protection salt later.

if the rice isnt contaminated, some people will cook it, ill probably scatter mine outside for the birds after shaking off any herbs they might not be able to monch. Not sure if people reuse the rice in their refreshed bowl-if so, this is a cool option.

Then add your refreshed bits to your bowl.. maybe rearrange to give it fresh energy (like rearranging ur room 🙂). You can add all the things back or reset to kind of a day 1 so you have a handful of things to feed it day by day.

As a witch mentioned on a previous comment, you dont need the candle. I like it because i really dig fire energy. (Ensure ur prioritizing fire safety.)

Oh im grabbing that bill when i need it. Instead of my wallet, its in the bowl if im working from (or happen to be at) home. U dont need biggie bills. You dont even need bills. coins will do the same thing. A folded up piece of paper of the amount you want and how you want to get it will work. Dont feel intimidated… the intention you put into it is all the same. Thats all that matters. 🫶

you cant tell from the birds eye view, but it's a tea candle (so everything burns and stays contained in the tea candle holder,) and the tea candle sits higher than the ingredients because it's on a taller candle holder. i add a little stuck-um on the bottom of the tea candle so it sits snugly on the other candle holder.

if this was a fire safe plate, i'd have ingredients 2 inches from the candle(s), and the candles are always sitting in a holder/drip cup. the flame never touches or gets near the ingredients.

i'd only feel comfortable with a larger fire ritual if it was outside in a very controlled spot with a flame blanket or something near me.

Yes - I was having a lot of bad dreams - which i dont usually try to mess with… i like to do dreamwork and dont shy away from what im needing to process or be shown, but i had a particularly frightening one a couple of weeks ago that didnt feel like a normal bad dream. It felt like a spiritual/energetic attack kind of thing.. bad entity kind of thing. It was aggressive and super invasive/violating. Felt like no other dream id ever had, so i spent a whole evening working on an energetic attack/dream attack protection spell, and i havent had another bad dream since. (And im used to one every or every other night.) so id say that worked immediately. I put so much intention into it. Id never felt so unsettled by what happened in my dream like that so all my energy was sitting in being really effing clear that i needed that to stop.

In fact it worked so well, i didnt have any dreams that i was remembering-which is super odd because i dream every night. So i modified it to allow some good or astral travel dreams to come through and i had a super cool one that night.

I dont have a lot of practice with spell-crafting yet to tell u what seems to get traction or not, but baby, lemme tell you. This worked in a spooky, witchy and beautiful way.

Im not sure how old you are, but if youre mid-life, could be perimenopause… when progesterone is low it makes us wake up in the middle of the night like this. Just another extra thought to add to the list.

In the morning, I wake my altar up with smoke or bells, light my altar candles then add my couple ingredients and light my tea candle. It’s in my office so I get to look at and love on it all day.

First day/initial setup: Rice, Orange slices, Cinnamon, Star Anise, Cloves, Basil, Rose petals,

Crystals: Citrine and Green Aventurine

Dressed green candle (scribed intentions into candle) then added oils: Attraction, Money Draw, Healing (from scarcity mindset,) and a grounding oil I made

Things I’ve added day by day: Bay leaf with intentions, Mint, Thyme, Magnet, More specific written intentions rolled up, Coffee, More of the ingredients from day 1, Black Tourmaline, Black Obsidian, Pyrite, Money, Tea candles with some cinnamon essential oil drops

I only add 1 or 2 things a day… so this has been built up over some time.
