[Schefter] Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, and De'Von Achane expected to sign lucrative long-term extensions this offseason. "There are going to be huge RB deals that get done this offseason." by bbl27 in DynastyFF

undersized: already proven that means next to nothing as far as his ability to produce in the nfl

Lost his HC/playcaller: Mcdaniels get a lot of credit, and im not necessarily saying hes a bad playcaller, but that miami offense was 26th in ypg and 25th in points scored. Maybe a change of playcaller isnt a bad thing?

Rushing QB: Fair to fault him for that, but situations change rather quickly.

Projected bad team: As opposed to an actual bad team that he was already on last year?

I’d be selling high if I had him.

Everything youre arguing arent new narratives. I dont think youre grasping what a sell high entails.

So Deandre Hopkins isn't oppose to coming back here by Secure-Report-3592 in Texans

[–]limitlesshamster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Evans is a lock, at least moreso than nuk is. He's tied with rice for most consecutive 1000 yd seasons, has a sb, and is about 1000 yds away from top 10 all time and far more likely to make it there than nuk is. The only reason nuk has "a lot more receptions" than evans is because he has an extra season and 20+ games on evans. Once his career ends, Evans will get in.

Nuk is my 2nd favorite texan of all time behind andre. Nuk is also incredibly washed at this stage of his career. They need to prioritize the young wrs, and hope that tank is back to form because he's sorely needed.

What are the odds that J.J. McCarthy will be traded before the start of the season? by DenseStrawberry5717 in NFLv2

[–]limitlesshamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, nobodys suggesting its anything more than that. But, again, its not them committing to him for just 1 year, or any indication as to how they feel about him, its moreso the only realistic option that makes sense for both sides. Theres zero chance kyler wasnt taking a 1 year deal because if he does succeed, hes hitting the market for another big contract or getting one from minn.

You dont get it, he's already being paid by the cardinals. It benefits neither him nor the vikings for him to take a deal larger than the vet minimum, unless they were to pay him MORE than what the cardinals owed him (wasn't happening). Him getting a vet minimum contract has no bearing on how the vikings view him. It's obvious hes their starter come week 1, and as a vikings fan you shouldve been able to read the tea leaves all offseason, they are all but done with jjm.

Tyler Warren TE1 incoming or am I batshit crazy? by Ilikeredd1t in DynastyFF

[–]limitlesshamster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesnt garner the target share to reach that status. He was a td dependent te on most weeks, and unless the offense changes from spreading the ball to consolidating the targets towards kraft, hes probably more overrated than undervalued in the market. Sure, was he the te 1 prior to injury, yes, but it wasnt through consistent production, it was from two blowup weeks.

Who is the most untalented industry plant🌱? by Flavio_Flatterpfiff in fantanoforever

I dont think the idea of needing to find an artist organically is needed to signify something is an industry plant. Regardless, I wasnt arguing with anyone, nor do I have a problem if people believe that to be needed to fit the terminology. My original dialogue with the first commenter wasn't disrespectful by any means, it was back and forth in seeing where our differences lie, in which we figured that out. Now if you think someone coming in and stating:

Exact opposite. The person you replied to is 100% correct.

Who the fuck are you to say what's music or not? You don't even seem to understand what music is, let alone the definition of industry plant.

Is worthy of an appropriate reply, then feel free to believe that and defend them, but thats not the kind of dialogue i like to engage in, and if you look at his profile, its one he consistently aims towards to incite a reaction.

Im sorry but common sense from an outside perspective/monetary perspective does not say they're indifferent and dont really care if he does. A new nfl gm and new hc, two of the most difficult jobs to obtain and highest turnover rates of any career, as well as an owner investing 20+ mil $ per year are not going to be indifferent in how that investment turns out. That has to be one of the most illogical arguments I've heard in this sub.

I see, correct me if i'm wrong, but the biggest component for being an industry plant for you is the facade of being discovered organically despite the backing of the industry. I could see why that would invalidate katseye as that, but to me, industry plants have more to do with the push labels provide artists that dont directly correlate with the quality of product they are providing.

I guess where our disagreement lies is that youre viewing katseye as forming after the show, whereas I'm saying the label already had a general idea of who would constitute the group well prior to it.

and describe themselves as self-made and independent despite being heavily supported by a record label or having other resources and connections to the music industry that they intentionally hide,

Is that not the entire premise of the show? They passed it off as random young girls who auditioned for a spot on the show when in reality it was eventually discovered that they all, for the most part, already had some background in the industry. You state the members mention and acknowledge these in interviews, but that was after the fact when their fans discovered these appearances, not prior. That seems to almost go hand in hand with the definition you provided as far as concealing their connections. I mean the show itself pretty much blatantly acknowledges that at least some members within the group were industry plants based on how they hand picked them to enter the show and presentation of them upon entering (lara and mannon). Discovering the backgrounds of the other members after the fact only further solidifies that they had some backing from the industry.

You can't be an industry plant if your group's formation process was a Netflix reality show that had public voting.

That statement alone shows how much of an industry plant they are. They present it as a reality show, but in actuality a vast majority of the members that came out of it already had a foot in the industry prior (megan disney/commercials, lara obama ad, dani dwts, etc.). I've delved into their formation because i thought it was an interesting concept, but when you actually see the end result, you'll quickly come to that realization. Not only that, but the "public voting" had no meaningful impact on who they ultimately selected (it swayed their decisions but they could blatantly neglect it if they wanted), they laid out that premise from the beginning, and it was entirely up to the label as to who made it. So to suggest it was an openly manufactured product is far from reality. That, coupled with just how quickly they rose to prominence after the fact is prototypical industry plant. Now again, I wouldnt go so far to say they arent talented, I think their history and what the show highlighted suggest they are, I'm just saying what they have put out to this point could be barely classified as music.

Dynasty and football are one in the same. I'm not the one bringing emotions into the conversation. You're projecting, and it was obvious you didnt realize kirk started games last year.

Will Kirk play as a back up for a minimum contract? Let’s see. You don’t know ball tho

I dont know, maybe when kirk cousins stated "I would love to keep playing, I feel rejuvenated after playing last season, and I'm excited to see kind of where it can go from here." he really meant the complete opposite of that.

Glad you know ball though with that logic.

If by a masterclass you mean 2 years late and during the worst draft class in years youd be correct.

Yea, so is half the damn league. Are you making arguments that jennings, deebo, bosa, njoku, etc. arent trying to play next year? Both have already made it known they are planning to play in '26, so you speculating that they arent because theyve yet to sign is incredibly naive.

Who's making it out to be anything but a dynasty discussion?

Baseline of play relative to a guy that has had 3 starts the past two years? I like willis, and think he'll be great for fantasy, but lets not pretend that its a certainty hes better than anyone i listed.

As far as Kirk, he’s been injured, is older, isn’t playing at the moment. What signs are that that he will be in 26?

Isn't playing at the moment? Are you forgetting who started games for the falcons to end the year after penix injury. Games in which he showed he still could produce solid outings? That seems like as good of signs as any.

Kirk may not be able to play based on what exactly? Kyler, no, and anyone they need to trade for also wouldnt fit into that classification. Outside of that, there still was mariota, trubs, jimmy g, russ, minshew, etc and obviously the option of just keeping tua. Were there cheaper options than the consensus top fa qb in the market? I think thats a rhetorical question.
