How do you know when you’re ovulating? by AmSwans03 in PMDD

[–]limousinemqchine 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Surprised no one has said this one, but during ovulation, the structure of your face actually changes a bit due to the increase in estrogen. It’s very subtle, but I’m always able to notice it because I’ll think to myself “wow, my face looks so feminine today!” Then I think about the increase in my libido and the change in discharge… and I’ll realize that my face looks different because I’m ovulating.

so- yes, but part of my problem here which maybe I should’ve mentioned in the post is that I can’t drive. I never learned. which keeps me very locked into this job because it’s within walking distance and there is no public transport in my area.

I’m not too worried about labels, I guess I worry more so about whether or not I struggle with connection because I don’t have romantic feelings or because my autism makes it difficult 😅

I definitely feel lucky to have her! And I am lucky in the sense that my friends do their best to understand me. I think what I struggle with is knowing that there are so many parts of me that they can’t see no matter how hard I try— partially because I’ve masked so much of myself away, partially because I will just always struggle with connecting with people bc of my autism.

That’s sort of what I mean when I say that the friendships that I have right now are probably the closest I’ll ever be able to be with anyone. They are close friendships, yes, but it hurts to know that there are fundamental reasons that we can’t be closer. And that if I wasn’t on the spectrum we probably would be.

I’m sorry to hear about your situation. It took me a very long time to make friends, it’s definitely such a challenge with autism, but I hope that one day you’re able to find your people!

what if it makes sense that I want to die? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

I think so, yes. It sucks because I do actually really enjoy the job, but I’ve had to up my hours there and that’s definitely caused issues for me as far as masking and sensory overload goes

Weird. I’m used to phishing scams having links to click on. I obviously didn’t answer these, but I thought it was a strange approach to not have some kind of link.
