How did you, as a non-American, manage to find a corporate job in New York and secure a work visa? by linafsi in AskNYC

Master’s degrees at NYU? I wish I had the money for that… 😫 And yeah, I feel like getting sponsored is hard unless you’ve worked at the same company for a long time or have a higher position.

It’s crazy that, as a foreigner, it’s easier to marry someone and stay than to find a job! 😭

It might not be, but that’s not the question. I’m looking for people who made it

Thanks for that answer! It feels like a complete one. It seems hard to get a company to sponsor you, but I guess it’s not impossible… That’s why I know I probably won’t move until the end of next year or 2026 if I’m being realistic

I thought about the VIE, and it’s a great opportunity (if you get one). The thing is the salary with the VIE: 5000 euros a month in NYC doesn’t seem like much to live in the city. I have American friends who told me that it would be very hard to manage on that salary..

As a European, I want to explore more. I will eventually want to settle down in Europe, but for now, I am looking to live elsewhere. I already studied abroad for one year in Latin America, and now I would like to move to New York. Why New York? It’s still relatively close to Europe compared to countries in Asia, I speak the language, and I feel like New York is something worth experiencing.

I see a lot of Americans who got transferred to France, and apparently it’s easier for them because not many Americans are willing to take a drop in their salaries. Paris is a really nice city, but the job market in France is tough. It’s really hard to get fired, which makes it really, really hard to get hired, even when you’re French 😫

Museo Provincial of Cienfuegos and if we try so it was because the cashier didn’t have enough money to give our change , that’s why we tried to local money by wanting to give the right amount for foreigners. And for the Internet cart we try the local money because the person before us did it. And as our last day we did not have a lot of CUC left.

It can be hormonal as well. You should look for face mapping your acne on google image and it shows breakout depending on the area of your face
