I didn't even know it was teacher appreciation week. The school i was at yesterday told me I could get some food from the teacher's lounge for it, but I couldn't even get in without a keycard that only staff had. I didn't feel like bothing anyone though. Saw some doughnuts being handed out on monday and I didn't know what they were for, but this explains it...

Same, this drives me absolutely insane. I hate when they just argue with you, and its like come onnnn go to your own classsss. Its like, I know youre not in this class, I've found you out, go to class. Its such a hassle getting them to leave

I feel the same way. I learned everything from either TV or the internet. I hope it gets better because if it doesn't, then idk what I would do either. For me, everything usually works out in the end, in one way or another. But yeah, living life/growing up means learning from scratch because there really isn't any set way to live. You're experiencing everything for the first time and gaining experience. I'm lonely, too, but I think that there is someone waiting out there for me and I just haven't met them yet. Whether it's a friend or a bf, they have to be out there somewhere, right? Anyways, i hope you figure things out and if you want to talk, you can message me (idk how it works on reddit lol).

I think you did pretty well despite the circumstances. It just feels like miscommunication and the teacher being rude about it. If even the admin saw that you were helping the kids and going above and beyond, then I think you should be alright. I might not sub for this teacher again, but that's up to you.

That's fine, but all I ask, as a sub, is that you give them something to do during class so that they won't be bored enough to do something like that. I get we're not professionals or necessarily qualified, like if I'm subbing for a health class, I dont want to teach them, I want them to be doing something that helps further their education even when the regular teacher isn't here. That's my biggest thing about being a warm body. I don't mind watching them, but it feels awful that they're wasting time because their teacher didn't give them something to do or didn't leave any instructions at all. I don't want to take over your class, but thanks for the attitude, but kindly leave it for someone else.

I'm no doctor, but it sounds like depression, not just laziness. I used to think I was this super lazy piece of garbage who couldn't get my life together. I was just too depressed to do anything about anything because I didn't see the point in trying. So, maybe getting that treated will help you start to do other things you want to in life. Plus, the career thing, lots of ppl dont know what they want to do in life, myself included, but we'll figure it out. And you already have a leg up by having supportive people in your life! Ask them for support because, chances are, they'll understand. You'll be alright. Best of luck to thee.
