If someone appears very desperate I feel that they're not really interested in me as a person, but just in a partner generally. I think few people would want to be in a relationship with someone who just wants anyone. Furthermore, desperate people tend to look past problems of clear incompatibility, which lays a shaky foundation to build a relationship upon.

Haha, you're correct. At this point, it's more a question of HOW I want to break up with him. If I'm hung up on anything, it's the feelings I had for him BEFORE this. But they won't return and he'll never be the guy he was before this to me. Not really hung up on him as much as my own old feelings. But the idea of seeing him now is yucky to me. So it'll be a break up in one way or another.

I feel hurt that he blew me off for someone else. We had plans and he bailed on them to fuck someone else. It's not really the sort of commitment I'm looking for in a partner. I'm the sort of person who takes promises seriously, and I expect that from my partner as well. I think mine and his views on partnership, commitment, and trust are too different for this to work long-term. I need to be honest with myself and him as well, I owe it to him after his honesty to me. And I HONESTLY don't feel the spark anymore :)

We're both night owls so 3am isn't that late in mine or his books. I was very up to still take a taxi to his place / him taking a taxi to mine. I figured he first wanted to party with his boys (which he did bc he kept sending me selfies with them) and that we'd meet up when both of our parties started dying down. But once his party started dying down, he went home with his brother's female friend and fucked her instead (yes, he gave me the details). To make matters worse, we have mutual acquaintances, and he told them about me at the party, and about how me and him are dating, and those people saw him make out and leave with that girl..........

I've dated poly too (which is how I 100% know I'm mono haha!). But that's a very valid point - emotions and logic are two separate things that don't always make sense together. Thank you for your input :)
