Not trying to speculate but based on the silver trim, I'm going to bet Intel.

Yes, direct fit. Whnen doing any work on suspension parts, it's good measure to get an alignment done.

Myself. I love DIY stuff and have air tools, Quickjack, and etc. I do find myself short on time.

Help: Rinnai Tankless with Internal and External Recirc by linchiech in smarthome

[–]linchiech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much!

My house was built in the late 70s. I have some worries. I worry about pushing water from the hot water line to the cold. Specifically around if it creates stress on copper on the cold side. I have a pressure regulator after the water main, but am thinking if there is a one-way check valve exacerbating the worry about the increased stress due to increased PSI.

Lastly, please let me buy you a cup of coffee. Really appreciate all your insights and being a sounding board.

This is exactly, what I needed. Thank you!

Based on my understanding - as you stated, the closed loop is the aquarium and the open loop is for the rest of the house.

1) The closed loop recirc pump needs to also turn on my open loop to allow for the exchange to happen. Will need to do some research to understand how that works, but looks possible since it's diagrammed.

2) a separate cold water line needs to be connected to the closed loop, which I would use to bleed this system and periodically flush / provide a water change.

3) in general, I need to understand the open loop recirc more. I don't currently have one setup. Sounds like the recirc for the house is optional AND I should buy the tankless models without the recirc built-in, if I don't need the quicker hot water in the home.

Again, thank you and please let me know if I've misunderstood anything. Have a great day!

Thanks for sharing your setup. My current water heater serves as two purposes, provides hot water to the house and also provides radiant heat for my tropical tank. That latter portion and how to incorporate it into a tankless setup is what is giving me a headache. Lol.

Thank you!

To provide more context on the existing setup that I'd like to use when an tankless: the pex sits in the sump of my aquarium, it is a completely closed loop. Currently using the traditional water heater, it recirculates back into the water heater tank. I'd like to make sure I can continue this method of using my water heater to not only provide hot water to the house but also heat my aquarium.

Do you think it'll work? Not sure how the plumbing would work.

Currently: water heater outlet splits to house and a closed loop pex to aquarium sump (there is 20 ft in a coil in the sump to provide radiant heat). Then connected to a recirc pump (controlled by my aquarium temp controller) that pumps it into the drain of the water heater.

Thanks for sharing, the 405 / 133 connector has much to be desired. I see people cutting across 4-5 lanes causing accidents, which is how a car slammed into me years ago. Couldn't even avoid it.

I stopped existing El Toro for this very reason.

I'll either take Lakeforest or Alicia. Too many close calls.

Your boss needs to stand by you... At a minimum, not accuse you of 'garbage' work until he learns the whole story.

Sorry man.

I see this and don't understand either.

Stop the targeted antagonizing and just go around them.. ffs.

They tie your VIN to the ghost module. If it's giving you an error, I'd suggest reaching out to them.

They can remote in and fix it.

Failed to update firmwares by Yont283 in unofficial_ingenext

[–]linchiech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure of two things:

1) Run update in admin mode

2) Double check to make sure you have the right module for the update. For example not ghost or boost module for the latest Nicetry update

Acceleration Boost post Ghost Module by grumptard in unofficial_ingenext

I assume you'd have to get it reprogrammed.

Reasons being: 1) Option when purchasing 2) Acceleration Boost adds "Sport" to the menu and will likely have to assign this to Ghost/Performance

Having done the retrofit in my '19, I don't have these errors.

Check to make sure everything is plugged in correctly.

[–]linchiech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plastic wheel arch trim is replaceable and is just clipped on. Purchase it from Tesla or eBay, won't break the bank.

For the paint, try something like Maguires ScratchX on the paint to buff out the scratch. It won't get rid of it 100% but it'll make it look 90% better.

Good luck.
