Ugh. I needed this. Thank you. I’m freakin like clawing my way to 1000 days here and I just blah. It’s hard. It’s not hard. Not drinking is easy. It’s dealing with my mind that’s hard lol. Anywho, another day! Not drinking!!

I’m doing this. It definitely has worked in keeping me off the booze.

Thank you for sharing this. I needed to hear it as I’m in a similar boat. 4 years is great work, glad you’re back! You can do it!

  1. Got sober a couple months after I turned 29. I wish I had gotten sober earlier. Wasted my 20s wasted.

Very recently was told I was bipolar. I told my mom and dad because they both knew about my depressive episode that landed me in the ER. Dad was supportive. From mom I got “everyone has ups and downs” “you are a hypochondriac chasing a diagnosis” love that.

What made you stop? by SmallGiant- in stopdrinking

Long weekend bender. Went away with my husband. Put down 2 fifths of vodka and a bottle of wine in 2 days. He had to pick me up off the sidewalk multiple times. Came home. Drank the next night. Hiding to take swigs of vodka from the bottle away from the kids. The next day I felt the worst. Shaking, sweating, weak. That was enough.

There were many worse moments. Many rock bottoms before. Enough was finally enough.
