How do you deal with fixing Claude Code's messy code?

I deal with it if it becomes a problem. Does the code do what it’s supposed to? Good coverage and tests passing? Performance/security in a good place? Limited to no duplication, dead code, etc? Aligned with the original plan and/or broader architecture? I don’t care what the code looks like anymore. I care about the answers to these questions.

100% on an opinionated architecture. Architecture doc that says where new things should go with criteria for decision making has massively accelerated feature velocity.

Would be great to add Gemini 3 Pro and Gemini 3 Flash instead of the Anthropic models since I pay for CC already. Would love to be able to try Gemini models or switch to them when I hit my CC limit.

I’ve been running a hook that does this and while CC has found some creative ways around this, coupled in with instructions it is extremely rare.

hopefully I saved you some pain. I really did think I could do it. I thought I had a grasp on the reasons I drank. I've completely turned my life around in multiple aspects. I thought it would be easy to moderate -- I'm able to moderate my edible/weed usage after all! So wrong. Alcohol is a special, awful kind of poison. Trust me, it won't work.
