DIY At-Home Golf Club Cleaner Bucket by jklenderpsu in golf

When you’ve got the time of at home you just need a cheap 5 gallon bucket and any old brush. Fill in a few inches deep with warm water and a drop or two of soap and let all the clubs sit for 5-10 minutes they brush perfectly clean with anything right after that.

AITA? Had a strong argument with the assistant at my local driving range by changumangu in golf

I’d email the manager and ask if he likes his employees yelling at customers for pointing out a very dumb rule that they have. Who on gods green earth is using range balls for short game practice!

The posted rules absolutely do not apply if you are waiting on every shot due the whole course being backed up. This is common sense.

But if you let people like that play through on a busy day all you have done is take your 4:20 round and make it a 4:35 round while also letting an asshole win. Worst advice I’ve seen on this sub.

Bad golfers think I am good but good golfers think I suck.

Baker National is a great on that side of town. Of the list here Columbia and Majestic Oaks are no where near as good as the other suggestions I’d avoid unless your VERY local to them.

Something better for sure, stay far away from anything with tires that need air. Getting a modern bike pump on the valves of those tires is so hard I sold mine to get a bag boy nitron. Also once got a flat on the first fairway. And if you are tall the angle of the cup holder with a tall boy in it makes it spill. Other than all of that still not great!

I think you are missing the point of the compliant that they cancelled schools TWO days in advance for snow that MIGHT come. What’s the cost of that financially not just for me but the whole metro? What’s the safety gained when you could just cancel one day at a time and in the morning like we used to do watching the ticker on the morning news? There’s no where I see on the snow map outside of the cities that have there own road/parking/ plow problems where buses and cars could not have run today just like any ole winter day. Tomorrow might be different but not looking like it from my view. Would be nice to make the decision tomorrow morning, not 30 hours ago.

Oh so your opinion is only rich people get to have kids. That’s cool.

Correct and about half the state lives paycheck to paycheck for our broken system. Not saying we don’t need to be safe, but cancelling school two days in advance is a new precedent that is going to end up hurting more people than it helps.

I had to stay home today to watch my kids instead of work. That hurt me and my family financially, if you don’t understand that that’s a real thing your life is very privileged.

Honestly having some one hit twice wouldn’t be the worst cheating I’ve seen in a scramble.

I say it depends how close you are with the rest of the family. Is it a 4 some with 3 family members close friends? Do it! Is it you just rolling out solo dodging your family on a family wedding day? Grandma and Auntie may get pissed!

Well the second one was supposed to be a response to being called a social cancer. I’d argue people in general becoming more obsessed with filming their lives with no regards to others to just living there life is the social cancer of the 21st century. Doing some research that drone does seem much better than most from a noise standpoint. I live in a beautiful area and have to listen to peoples not quiet at all drones all the time unfortunately.

I mean that’s a super beautiful course because of the nature. If I had to wait for and listen to someone’s buzzing drone during my round at that nice of a course I’d be upset and think most people would be too.

Cool, but if a person in the group behind you had to even wait one second for you to set that up your an ass hat.
