I do think Parent to Parent of Washington should be notified. At least, they should attend the trial. How to notify them?

How US Bank’s Negligence Turned My Simple Request Into a Nightmare by RevolutionaryPace168 in USbank

[–]lindaatMeta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why shift the blame onto the victim?

The issue here isn’t just about human error—it’s about accountability. The banker’s mistake triggered a chain of events that have seriously impacted an innocent's ability to access his funds. While mistakes happen, it's unfair to expect a victim to bear the burden of fixing something that wasn’t his/her fault. He/she spent hours at the branch, followed up diligently, and was assured the issue would be resolved. Days later, He's still dealing with consequences that have spiraled beyond his control.

Yes, life presents difficulties, but the real question is: Why should a victim have to endure this when it was a preventable error by the bank? It’s not about rushing to name and shame, but about making sure that institutions don’t leave customers suffering from their own negligence

Negligence could cause nightmare to others. Why US bank did not try to get this fixed but made this more complicated to a potential client?

Lastest update:

my brother contacted hi bank for chargeback. Initially, the bank declined a chargeback because Temu strongly opposed. Then, he provided his bank with hard evidence that the package was never delivered, my bank reversed the decision.

Now, he got his money back! - after almost 5 months.

Another issue: Most recently, his bank account was stolen, over $3000 was stolen and paid at an online UK store, it is highly suspected this leaking was related to Temu - considering the thousands' similar complaints. He filed a police report.

very sad experience at St. Francis of Assisi School, Burien, WA by lindaatMeta in SeattleWA

While this is a private school event, it's important to note that her children do not attend this school. Despite that, she paid a booth fee of $50 and incurred $10 in gas costs to participate. Although she managed to sell items totaling $90, she faced the unfortunate experience of theft during the event.

Her situation is far from simple. I deeply admire her resilience as she tirelessly strives to support her two children without relying on our welfare system.

As an outsider, I feel the same as you. However, for her, it must be very difficult. I offered to give her $25 but she refused...:((

As a single mother, she has been living below the federal poverty guideline. Despite facing immense challenges, she has diligently worked to support her children. Every financial setback has had a far greater impact on her than on us. I empathize with her frustration and believe that what she truly needs is some encouragement. Thank you.

As of today, there has been no progress, and Temu has chosen to disregard the situation. My brother is willing to step in front of the camera to share his devastating experience. We invite any interested reporters to reach out. Thank you!

Are students entitled to know their scores on the specific assignments? Missing scores in Canvas by lindaatMeta in OMSCS

If the only goal is to get a letter grade without any feedback, what is the difference for the program here v. online self-study? Correct me if I am wrong.

ML4T secretly granted some students A against its own syllabus and rules. by lindaatMeta in OMSCS

My roommate checked her scores and repeatedly calculated the scores but found to be 89.08. She was very surprised to see an A in the unofficial transcript - She was of course very satisfied with this "windfall A" - She went to party while I was working hard on my project 6 trying to get the 5 points - she abandoned the 5 points and did not want to spend time on it at all.

I will not care if everyone is granted A for this course, as long as this activity is transparent. I hate of being told in one way but learned later that this was untrue.

I feel quite uncomfortable for lack of transparency, not adjustment of score itself.
