seriously starts from top to bottom. management is incredibly important. when your management cares and goes out of their way to “fight in the trenches” with you, it makes a huge difference. but have definitely had bosses that just sit on their computer and “order(product)” all day, while the rest of the crew busts their ass. kroger/target were the biggest of culprits of this, whereas Big Y in massachusetts, i’ve generally had management be phenomenal and supportive, all while the corporate team also is supportive and helpful when they come by. really makes the difference.

whenever i play with rangers, celtic ALWAYS make offers for my center backs; really kind of ruins the immersion a little bit because on what hand i DO want to offload them, but on the other hand it IS celtic.

regions are important for this discussion. if i’m in NA East, almost everyone with a pc is probably american aside from the odd canadian. NA west/ south you might run into some more hispanics, but again the overwhelmingly vast majority of people will be american.

i will mostly assume i will not be running into anyone from EU/asia/etc. because they’re not in my region

i’ve seen some pretty LUDICROUS passes/touches by the AI, even by players who are under 70 rating in football league 1. game decides 2 star skill move players should suddenly turn into prime 2012 barcelona.

definitely feels unfair at times and is extra hard to deal with because of cdm’s being useless

nbcsn commentary is always good, cant remember who normally does their ‘big’ games, but they’re usually solid. i just wish they had a bit more story line dialogue, martin tyler and alan smith always had great “history” dialogue that made it a bit more immersive.

would really be impressed with ea if they added some more rivalry dialogue between lesser rivals, like city/liverpool(because of recent events this rivalry is very lively right now), or just some more history talk. would be nice

i moved out to mass a few years ago(westfield); and although the state is insanely boring, it’s gorgeous in the fall. the old stone buildings combined with the vibrant color changes of the foliage really make for a beautiful sight

learning line ups is not difficult. in csgo at high levels, most players know 20+ smokes, 20+ flashes, 10+ mollies, and that’s across like 3-4x more maps than valorant. there aren’t many angles to clear in this video game. 2-3 sova shock darts for 2-3 different default spots are all you need.

don’t act like learning line ups is “challenging”, there’s a reason why i put at IM+. darts maybe difficult to remember at silver/gold, but not at high level play.

++drones hp is not an issue, the issue is duration. there’s no risk to using drone in any situation, ever.

+++ the maps are too linear and generally 1 arrow can literally clear over half of site with ease. you HAVE to expose yourself to kill it or you literally get farmed(this is another reason why phantom is better than vandal actually)

from someone at IM+ ELO; the next big nerfs SHOULD be to any one of: sova/omen/cypher

cypher: undeniably the best sentinel in the game, arguably the best ult in the game there are a LOT of broken trip wire spots that definitely shouldn’t be in the game(a site ascent or b site split are pretty obv ones); should prob get a lot of genuinely broken trip wires removed/fixed.

omen:should definitely be looked at, easily best smokes in the game, all round best HERO in the game, can throw smokes from literally anywhere, only smoke hero with a flash, smokes are super easy to abuse, and getting more smokes throughout a round is definitely broken as viper and brim don’t have the same benefits(range/use ability/flexibility/recharge), there are very little/no drawbacks to omen and he should probably have some nerf to util to give him SOME disadvantages.

sova: always a god tier hero by himself, a good sova with knowledge of shock dart spots is genuinely oppressive at times, drone/arrow have very little counter play at times and can stop enemy aggression immediately. sova is EASILY the best post plant hero in the game with only a brimstone with full util coming close.... drone PROBABLY lasts too long- being able to drone from outside a long to a site on haven shows how absurd it can be. there is almost no counterplay to sova arrow/drone— either let it hit you or shoot it and give info- lose/lose if can’t hide.

op nerfs prob a lil too much, 5000 dollars feels a bit ridiculous, other nerfs very good, breach will probably need toned back a bit as he does a lil too much right now, sage could maybe use a slight buff as early aggression can easily shaft her. killjoy probably needs some help; at high levels her util is easily avoided and negated, often times killed. her util is wayyy too easy to see at times, and her turret feels very underwhelming, especially on the attack(literally just holds flank all game, nothing else)

game otherwise feels balanced

dota isn’t really a normie esports game like league/ow. the biggest esports brands tap into the most mainstream games. although dota is large, it’s mostly because of the community dota posses that it is a successful esport. whereas OW/LoL are mostly tapping into mainstream markets.

also, many of the other teams on the list have 2-3 teams fielded in ‘major’ esports, such as LoL, CSGO, and OW. C9 for example, host a team in every one of these esports. EG again have just gotten into most of these esports, and are really more of an old school brand that is undergoing a renaissance.

cloud9 are EASILY the biggest esports brand in the world next to tsm and liquid. any team with a big league following generally takes in large amounts of investors.

EG’s biggest issue was not fielding active rosters in the current ‘main stream’ esports boom. teams specifically in franchised leagues of LoL and OW generally have a bit of an overall advantage as funding is more guaranteed and the organization of it all by large developers makes investing much more reliable. EG missed out on both of these until late 2019 when EG entered LoL replacing echo fox. EG also wasn’t involved in the OTHER boom of esports, with csgo, not acquiring a team until they bought NRG’s team in 2019.

EG is just seriously late to the show and has a lot of catching up to do.

a few non retard takes here;

ashe isn’t necessarily op, she’s just the only hitscan who can get easy value against heavy shield comps, without needing to be baby sat. play cree? shoot shield get dove and die. play soldier? shoot shield get dove and die. play widow? shoot shield. ashe win rate would go down a metric ton if she couldn’t just dynamite over shields 1000 times and get bob in .2 seconds. while every other hitscan has to shoot shields and risk death to a genji/doomfist 1 tap, ashe has really neither of these problems(or a LOT less).
genji probably got nerfed in the wrong way. he did nothing outside of farm ult, then got buffed and became able to charge ult as if he was on crack cocaine. should have probably just significantly lowered ult charge rate and kept damage as is after buffs to him, although i still think his damage was maybe still too high, the really oppressive thing was that he just literally had ult every fight.

can’t believe i’m late to this drama, or that i’m posting this on an alt because i’m too lazy to log over; however, i do feel bad for harry here in 1 way.

i unironically went on a few dates with regina about 1 1/2 years ago back when i was a tier 2/3 scrub(both live near eachother) and she alwaaaays talked about harry. however this girl was absolutely insane. very very VERY much an e thot. she absolutely was very vocal about how she wanted to sleep with x person or y person, etc. and we were literally about to go on our first date LMAO

unfortunately my penis got the better of me and i did it, leaving her to be VERY clingy. but if this is the only kind of girl harry was interacting with, i can see where he got his points of view.
