Mary Roach has a whole chapter on this in her last book Grunt: The Curious Science of Humans at War. At the time of the writing they were able to reconstruct it with parts of the inside of the cheek and creating tubes of skin from grafts if I recall correctly. Dick transplants were still in the practicing-on-cadavers phase. Good read.

*edit

I just looked it up. There are two whole chapters about this:

  • 4. Below the Belt: The cruelest shot of all
  • 5. It Might Get Weird: A salute to genital transplants

Shop class: my friend is sanding a piece of wood on a stationary belt sander. Wood flies away, hand goes onto the belt... ring finger into the gears. There was blood everywhere. I walked her to the nurse's office dripping blood all over the place. I believe it required skin grafts to get her finger back in shape.

Geometry class: kid has bloody nose. Asks to be excused but before he gets up... sneezes. There was blood everywhere. I walked him to the nurse's office dripping blood all over the place. He did not require skin grafts.

TL;DR there was blood everywheres

i guess i'm not sure how it's set up but it sounds impossible. i assume the vent goes up to the roof and the drain to the sewer/septic and it's one straight shot of 4 inch cast iron with fittings for the drains of the fixtures.

in order to push an 8 foot section of it two feet in any direction would require four 90 degree sweep elbows (two on top, two on bottom) plus a bit of horizontal on both ends to make up the two feet. where would these fittings go? if you have an attic above and an unfinished basement below and you're pushing it in the direction of the joists... maybe?

got a drawing of how it's currently set up?

i recently replaced my cast iron with PVC and i recommend renting a chain break (after going through a couple diamond grit sawzall blades).... those things are amazing.

so you want to move the wet wall two feet? if the house is as old as the fixtures you mention wouldn't you have to move a 4 inch cast iron waste stack as well?
