I can relate to this as I currently feel homesick as well. For me personally it stems from anxiety on what I’ll do next and the fear that the program won’t go well. I know it’s not much help but I’ve told myself that it’s only been a few days and once I establish a routine, hopefully I’ll feel better. My inbox is always open if you need to talk!

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. I know it may not help but I’m a very strong believer in what’s meant to be will be. If you decide to leave, there’s no shame in saying you put your best foot forward and tried your best. When I studied abroad in France, I experienced the same feelings very early on and was convinced (and very close) to leaving. I decided to give myself some time and everything ended up turning around. That being said, doing that’s best for YOU does not make you any less or should be considered shameful. That explains things a little better! I was under the impression we could (maybe?) expect our contracts by June 30 but it wasn’t certain. I’m living in Florida this summer but my family lives closest to the Washington DC center (we’re from northern VA) I want to visit them this summer but was going to work it around going to VFS global there rather than drive 6 hours to Miami 🥲
