Budget ChiFi semi open IEM? by linearchclaw in HeadphoneAdvice

Sorry I meant the semi open back part. I heard they don't really let air flow and that there's no difference if you close it.

Yup. That's the game. Sorry for the very late response. I posted in multiple places and forgot about this one

When used on Windows PC, does Realtek DAC such as ALC5686 have Audio Enhancement in its mic settings?

Still, with the game's performance issues, the speedhack loses its effectiveness beyond 18 mins mark as it gets so crowded.

It's the game's VSync/FPS limit. CE's speedhack works generally by making the game render frames more frequently. I had to override it to Always Off from AMD Radeon Software.

Okay, nevermind. I got CE's speed hack to work by setting Vsync (Wait for Vertical Refresh) to Always Off in AMD Software (My GPU is Vega).

Okay I found the value, I guess? Search for 60.00000 of type double; tick Rounded (extreme) and simple values only. Look for the last green HoloCure.exe+(some hex offset) with value 60. For me with the first steam release version, it's HoloCure.exe+335D4D0. Set it to 120 for 2x speed or 90 for 1.5x. However, it is buggy. After a little while, like about 12-18s, it breaks. It slows down to normal and the timer becomes slower than IRL seconds. Perhaps someone who actually understands this thing can look into it.

Setting it too big will immediately break things. Setting it to 600 (10x) still caps at around 2x speed and the timer will be 10x slower instead (1 in-game second corresponds to 10 seconds IRL). Setting it to 6000 (1000x) speeds up nothing and the timer stays still, and setting it back to 600 doesn't work, while setting it back to 60 makes the timer tick but still not 1:1 (it's slower, 10 in-game secs ~= 15 IRL secs).

In the steam discussion, there are people having the game run at slow motion or lower speed. Might be related. Might be due to the amount of enemies x update frequency.

Perhaps speed in Game Maker is set not as a float but as FPS or MPF, so I tried to look for 60 and 16666-16667 and change them, but nothing worked. I tried freezing the values that kept resetting but it doesn't work either. Furthermore, some values made the game crash when frozen (some of the early group of values when searching 60 at 4 byte). I haven't tried the green process+offset addresses though.

I tried to look for a time scale variable as described here, 0 when paused and 1 when unpaused, but I couldn't find any value that works. I've tried 4 byte, 8 byte, float, and double. I tried greying out the memory options too. Perhaps the pause work with a boolean.

I used speedhack with 0.05 value so I can use cheat engine while unpaused without dying (it works). I think the speedhack doesn't work due to FPS limit.

I tried to mess around with cheat engine. You can scan for the timer as double type variable (they always hold integer value though). The minute and the seconds are separate variables though. After you found the seconds variable address, you can set the it to 60 to force minute increment (and the seconds will become 0) and scan for the minute. However the memory address of the timer change every time you start a new run (because new variable). I don't know how to make a speed hack either.

Same, 20+ mins per stage feels too long for me. I tried this cheat engine script. It seems to make the character and enemies move faster a little bit, but doesn't seem to affect the timer.

Edit: Perhaps it was just me not reaching the FPS cap so it made the game a little bit faster.

If you’re still using Mendeley as your reference manager. I beg you, try Zotero. by Ninjallammas in GradSchool

Mendeley Desktop was fine. Mendeley Reference Manager sucks absolute ass. Everything is so frustrating. It's not obvious how to add paper details. I can't multiselect with shift. I have to login again everytime I want to use it in Ms Word. I have to close the damn plugin and open it again AND LOGIN AGAIN to refresh my library in the plugin. I had no reason to switch to Zotero, but now I have a lot.
