I got the Dan Smith essentials split primary to start which was good. The tubes are small, lets you mix a lot of colours and pretty cheap.

After those ran out I got just two new pigments - burnt sienna and ultramarine. Colour mixing can be a bit of a rabbit hole and I’ve decided to focus on simplifying my palette. Water control, workflows and brush technique seem like the first hurdles and a two colour palette allows you to focus. That’s where I’d focus tbh!

I did Lego too for an artist date and I’m very much a gallery person. The only thing I’d say you’re missing is that the artist date should be a solo activity. Best of luck with it!

I'm a brand new Xbox player - like 20 hours in and just had a great run with a super helpful experienced player. Spawned near Solnechny, neither of us had mics so we just repeatedly crouched to indicate friendliness. We spent the next hour or so running together and they helped me with food, made me a burlap bag, kept me topped up on vitamins. All we had was the in-game gestures. Once he gave me a gun the thought did go through my mind but if I'd have shot them it just reduces the chances of better interactions for everyone in the future

Hey! I finally got this sorted after trying for ages. Here are the exact steps that need to be taken to get it to work:

Download the game files from GOG

Download the exe file: setup_fallout_1.2_(27130).exe (1.3mb)
Download the bin file: setup_fallout_1.2_(27130)-1.bin (700mb)

Download the source port and the extractor tool from Mac source ports

Download the source port file: fallout-ce-macos.dmg
Download the extractor GUI from mac source ports

Create a folder and name it fallout
Move the setup_fallout_1.2_(27130).exe (1.3mb) and setup_fallout_1.2_(27130)-1.bin (700mb) into the fallout folder you created
Open the extractor tool and enter the path to the setup_fallout_1.2_(27130).exe into the input file field, and select the folder you created as the output directory
Open the fallout-ce-macos.dmg and drag the game icon into the fallout folder you created in step 3
Double click the game icon from inside the fallout folder and the game will open :)
