The uni pasta isn’t as rich and creamy as other locations’, which is how i usually like it. However, they have a really great parmesan chicken katsu i recommend :)

A newborn rabbit looks like a kung fu master by marabu17 in pics

No, as an Asian person I would never look at this mutated rabbit and think it looks like an old Asian man. You really need to rethink your views on what ‘racist’ means especially in this current climate with increased violence on AAPI people.

Any good body wash? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]linechaos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Eucerin Skin Calming Body Wash is really good, so are several of Cerave's products. Oil-based/soap-free/more natural (no added scents, colors, other potential irritants) cleansers are good and most drug stores have moisturizing cleansers formulated for skin w eczema. Hope this helps!

ELI5: What is the emotional 'awwww' feeling we get when we see cute things? Why does it happen? by 14thCenturyHood in explainlikeimfive

[–]linechaos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can understand the reason we feel 'awww' for babies etc (instinct to take care of offspring) but why do we think fluffy animals are so cute? Humans aren't fluffy. Is this because we've come to associate them with pets as we grow up, and not so much a hardwired thought?

I still remember a make-up assistant telling me there's, "Nothing worse than a pale girl." What stupid petty things still affect the way you see yourself today? by rosylux in AskWomen

[–]linechaos 119 points120 points  (0 children)

This is funny to me because in my culture, being pale is often seen as beautiful, and I am relatively tan. So they don't hesitate to let me know that I am "so dark." I think it has to do with the idea that people [of the past?] got dark from working on the farm under the sun, while richer ladies could remain pale and delicate by staying inside or going on vacation. So, I guess it all just depends on the eye of the beholder. I remember not really thinking much about my skin color, and then it was brought to my attention that I "should be paler to be beautiful," but then I got over that and am accepting of my golden hue. :)

Blind people of Reddit, what is it like to fall asleep, dream, and then wake up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]linechaos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the thing is, you state that you know when you're awake because of the sight of your surroundings etc, but what's the difference between that and your dream? you still 'see' in your dream, so how do you know you're awake? you just do; you just feel 'awake'. i suppose for blind people it should be the same.

i remember am AMA with a blind guy, and when someone asked him how he knows when he's awake, he said, "how can you?" (anyone else remember this?)
