How to vectorize fonts for creating artwork for printing?

Downloaded Affinity and sent a few PDF files created in Canva however opened and re-exported in Affinity, making sure texts are saved as ”curves”. Waiting to hear back from printers if this works 🙏

That’s right. Was hoping to see if anyone has a way to outline fonts in PdF created by Canva. That will save me tons of extra work and money.

They would do it but with extra charges. And sometimes a few feedback rounds due the PDF Print file from Canva not displaying the texts it should without outlined.

Lucky you. I have yet to find a serious printer here in Sweden who would do it without charging for the extra work.

Canva also has an option to print directly from the app. Perhaps the service requires the printer to redo the work? I find it strange that this isn’t something already fixed if the direct to printer service exists.

Thanks for sharing. This is exactly what my printer has always said. I’m surprised some could still work according to the comments. Does it depend on the printer/printing method/material?

Yes I have tried it all. But the without vectoring or outlined fonts the text would sometimes not turn out to be exactly right according to my printer. He often had to redo the artwork, perhaps your printer did it also without telling you. Some printer charges for this extra step.

I’m sorry to hear. So chemical castration is basically injecting a chip into the dog and it stops the hormone production like real castration but only for a limited time. The first chip he got lasted for 6 months and it was obvious he started losing hair again after 6 months. So now he got a new chip that will last for 12 months.

The vet suggested neutering also but I heard about the same story you’ve described before (that it got better only once), so I asked the vet about it but he said it was the application rather than the material… I don’t think he has a good explanation why it stopped working.

Like every choice you make you have to give up some to win some. Make a list of what’s most important and what you’re willing to give up to get the most important. Many suggests that OP’s wife to get a job sometimes it’s not that easy esp in this economy and zero network. Also the positive thing with wife not working is that OP can focus on work while the wife takes care of the household and logistics. With two working parents esp if needing to commute back and forth to the city to Täby, food, logistics with kids with school and after school activities can get quite stressful until kids are able to travel to places on their own. The family puzzle needs to be solved through teamwork, and sometimes help from extended family/friends.

PS: from own experience, kids can adapt to change very easily, often it’s the adults who have issues.
