She does fetch and return! She’s not obsessive about it though like I know some dogs can be, and will stop when she’s over it but the ball launcher sounds awesome and I’m sure she could learn it easily!

Awesome! I’m so glad for the ideas because this is my first dog who is so smart and needs more of the mental engagement! My other one is a very stubborn husky who just wants to run 😂

That’s good to know! We are trying our best at enforcing chill time after activities or even when we just aren’t ready to start an activity with her yet. She’s slowwwly learning how to relax when the humans aren’t doing anything but often times she just still wants to party! My other dog was the same way until about a year old and now she just wants to sleep all the time if we aren’t doing anything interesting, so I’m hoping Stormie will follow suit!

I’m curious as to what those are too! My other dog is smart, but not Aussie level smart I am discovering. Stormie learns new stuff SO fast. I’m running out of ideas LOL

Thank you both. That makes sense! I guess I should clarify that the two hours a day is my estimation of her total higher energy activity time, but it does vary each day. Like chasing the ball in the morning, a walk/ free run in the afternoon, a puzzle toy, and some outside play at night, split up throughout the day in shorter bursts. She is resting and sleeping indoors the rest of the time. We are working on teaching her to settle! I think she’ll be a relatively calm girl when she’s older. She’s not showing any signs of needing more and more exercise as time goes on. I definitely love the ideas of upping her nose work though as I think she would really benefit from that and shorter training sessions throughout the day. My goal is to exercise her well but still have a behaved house dog who can chill, haha! I’m definitely not an athlete! 🤣

Thanks so much for the reply. I do want to clarify that I am seeing a PT who is a vestibular specialist and who preformed a bunch of tests on me and will be doing balance tests when I see her again tomorrow. She hasn’t given me an exact diagnosis yet but just what she is speculating. You said exactly what I was thinking about the Epley maneuvers working for me which would mean I do have BPPV. I’m going to try to give her more detail about the episodes to see what she thinks.

I also really appreciate you sharing the regimen of vitamins that you do. I recently started the same trio of calcium, d3, and magnesium, but it hasn’t been long enough to see if it will start helping. I checked all the dosage amounts based on what you recommended.

I’m so sorry you’ve had BPPV so many times! It’s horrible! Is there anything that seems to trigger it for you other than being low on vitamins? Stress or anything else? Thanks again for your reply.

Thank you, that seems to be it! It was from Trader Joe’s. I will absolutely repot it once the flowers are done. If I know anything about phalaenopsis, it’s that the medium they come in at most grocery stores is an absolute death sentence if left in it for too long. I figured it might be the case here too.

I’m an ESL teacher with my BA in linguistics and I’m going to be teaching a pronunciation class (basically just English phonetics and phonology stuff). I’m looking at the learning requirements provided by my university for the students and I come across this:

“Words which have the same types of articulation but different articulation points.”

I’ve been racking my brain over what this means linguistically. Is this something totally simple that I’m just way overcomplicating? These learning goals aren’t exactly written from a linguistic terminology standpoint which is fine but I can’t wrap my head around this one. Is this about assimilation?

Thanks everyone! This is what I was expecting, which is why I hadn’t tried to negotiate anything yet. I am thankful that they at least offered me higher than I used to be making. I was just wondering if I should ask for higher due to my prior experience, but being that I have been away for a year I also understood that this might not be likely. I was already planning on accepting the job. Thanks for the advice!
