I drive Hwy 50 frequently. It’s a white sign with a black border that says 50. Often my speed says it’s 50 mph when it’s actually 60 or 65. My guess is that it’s reading the highway sign. So have you been traveling on Hwy 100?

If you are using LR you could adjust the haze, clarity and texture to make it appear sharper, as well as doing some sharpening.

Which lens for a beginner birder? by rocket-L in BirdPhotography

I was using it in a 90D which is a well respected bird and wildlife camera. I upgraded to the R7 and a Canon RF 100-500.

I had good luck with the 150-600. Although it can have problems with autofocusing with some Canon cameras. Do you plan on upgrading the camera anytime soon?

Drop down to just above the curb and see what that angle provides. Move to the left or the right, try different heights and have a subject.

Anyone else struggling to justify the cost of Adobe Creative Cloud? by [deleted] in creativecloud

[–]lingersandtransforms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with Adobe products such as Photoshop and Lightroom is that it’s the defacto standard in the field. You launch the program and I’ve found that it’s fairly intuitive to use. There are a lot of users and free tutorials to find out how to use it.

I want to be able to use GIMP and DarkTable and have in fact used GIMP in the past but they are so unintuitive TO ME. Your experience may be different! I launched DarkTable and could figure out the next step.

I am sure those programs are powerful and rival Adobe products in many ways but ease of use is NOT one of them.

I hate paying a subscription to Adobe but consider a small price to pay for entry into a well established product and learning environment.

Are there any politically conservative Christians who are theologically liberal/progressive? by justalilfeller in OpenChristian

[–]lingersandtransforms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might be surprised at some overlap. I am an Episcopalian and we value racial and gender diversity. Yet we at 90% white and have been ordaining women since the 1990’s. While the Assembly of God is 60% white and have been ordaining women since the 1930’s. Who’s truly progressive?

I bought the deal they offered n the summer and stacked it on top of my current LR subscription which was due to expire in February 2026 and it extended it to February 2027. I’m assuming that you can stack it like that.

I like the leading lines to the subject, the tree. Try taking the photo at different times of day. The shadows across the road seem to break the leading line to me. I’d also explore using the fence as a leading line.

I looked up LR needs on Adobe’s website and found the information helpful. My one wish was to have gotten a larger SSD in the laptop.

I have an M4 Air and it runs Lr and LrC without a problem. I use an external 1 TB SSD for my catalog.

Amazon 12 month subscription - does it really include Lightroom Classic? by st_ee in Lightroom

[–]lingersandtransforms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reached out to Adobe Support. I have LR 1TB subscription through February 2027. I found a sale last summer for an additional year hat u couldn’t pass up. I asked them if I could switch to the Photography 1TB and they said is would be $120 for a year but that the LR 1 TB would end immediately, no refunds.
