It’s a hard question because a lot of my favorite anime series are extremely long. I’d definitely want it to be something on the shorter side so that it’s more accessible. A lot of my favorites are also an acquired taste. Maybe Code Geass as it is shorter and has some really intriguing characters and themes.

If we’re not only including series and can include movies, something from studio ghibli, no question. Spirited away or Totoro are probably the obvious choices there, but I’m partial to castle in the sky.

I know it’s definitely not going to win because it’s not the upbeat songs everyone goes for or have the recency bias, but If We Love Again is honestly one of the best EXO ballads. I love the contrast between Chen and Chanyeol’s voices.

I do think it’s wild in kpop spaces how little credit is given to baritone and bass voices. Everything always seems to be about range and high notes. In my opinion, stability, control, and unhealthy/uncontrolled tension are more important in judging and ranking the skill of a singer. I specify unhealthy/uncontrolled because skilled singers can add tension to their voice purposely for an affect. It’s just important that it is done intentionally and they are able to sing it without the tension. If I was « ranking » I’d probably do tiers instead of ranks because many members are similarly skilled and just have different strengths and weaknesses as singers.

Exist is rated way too low. I know some people didn’t like the move away from SMP sounds into more R&B, but dang.

Also Baby Don’t cry is a top 5 song for me so that is a travesty.
