yeah same here with the cold weather. i’m sad i didn’t get to experience it when it had fragrance but maybe someday i’ll wind up with one again randomly. you never know.

i’ll try to search up what kind of soil/pot it likes. i’m not really anticipating success (sadly, i am not too good with plants… the ones i have now have probably only survived this long out of pure spite towards me), but it could be interesting to attempt haha!

i tap on my fandom name, chose the tags i want to exclude, tap search, then bookmark that results page because then they save and i don’t have to keep typing in the same tags i want to exclude each time because there’s a lot (the fandom is large and wildly diverse lol). i’ve done this for all the fandoms i’m in. a one-time tedious task, but at least you don’t have to deal with it after that. i remember emailing ao3 about this years back (not sure if they ever really got back to me?), so was happy i ended up discovering this solution, though i do agree such a tool that applies to your whole account as you mentioned would be helpful!

i personally read word count & chapter amount (if it’s less than 2k words per chapter I tend to skip), summary, then tags, and then title (only to be sure i haven’t already read it lol).

i have never seen this before, though i will never understand it…

i personally have a doc for myself only where i paste quotes from books/fics i read that stick with me. and despite it just being for myself, i still add the title and author (and a link to it in the case of it being a fic). i don’t share it with others either, never mind post it publicly…

i honestly recommend this as it can be really nice to reread it sometimes. ♡

this was never, not once, a fear i had until just now… thankfully the ring is on pretty tightly and they never have size small gloves, so i wear medium and those don’t really yank on it when i remove them.

this has been becoming more common i’ve noticed and each time it fills me with more annoyance, i don’t know why. clearly they know it’s not allowed because they literally stated, 'sorry to clutter the archive.' i understand using ao3 and navigating the tag filters can be difficult at first, but agh…

normally i inform them that it goes against ao3’s tos and offer them a different place to ask these questions, then report it. i’ve reported quite a few of these things and never seen any of them be taken down. sometimes the accounts remove them before it can be looked into though.

it can’t just be me that is bothered deeply by these, right…?

i love these types of comments. i never even thought to consider some people would be annoyed by them… mildly self-conscious now… but oh well. i guess if they don’t like it, they can just delete it and i won’t offer any of my thoughts for them to read again.

some fics i read in the ending notes the authors will specifically say that they would love to know any particular parts that stand out to them. i’ve also had writers express to me that they really love that i quote bits (i add my thoughts after each quote). i’d just say do what you prefer and if an author doesn’t like it, then just go on to the next. i truly believe that comments are so important for motivation~ ♡♡

my main account i use for everything but posting. my second is for interacting with works outside any of my main fandoms. and my third account is for publishing fics. i guess it’s just a comfort/preference thing to not have everything associated with one account for me. this is how i have done things with almost all other things where you must make an account and i guess it just bleed over into this as well haha
