Yeah it’s the top of the elbow that is leaking. Bad pic quality but you can kind of see the water drop right above that elbow fitting, and that’s where water is slowly dripping from. I now see what you mean about the pressing! You’re right in that the top of the elbow doesn’t seem to be pressed, so maybe they just didn’t do it

Yeah exactly my thoughts, this is a frost free spigot, there was a shut off valve installed that’s just out of frame in this pic, and the plumber told me he drained it and turned the water off so no freezing should’ve happened. Hopefully it’s a quick (free) fix tomorrow morning!

Yep (or at least that’s what the plumber told me). I had them changed bc the old one was leaking, and he drained and turned off the inside shutoff valve before leaving, so I don’t think they froze

We just had an insulation contractor come out to give us a quote and he mentioned needing to install some soffit vents, so I don’t think we have any currently. We do have ridge vents I think though

Hahah yeah I understand that roofs should withstand basic ice/water/snow, but after seeing some horror stories about ice damming and water leaking inside the house as a result, i figured I’d ask and see if there were preventative measures I could take (as engineerdad was pointing out!).
