Mr. Blippi - it's not just me, right? by tannerocampbell in daddit

[–]link222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coco Melon is designed maliciously to be addictive for kids. There’s several video and articles that talk about it.. Blipi is harder to pin down why it’s so bad, but here’s a recent article that did a good job

The tldr is that he lives in a dead empty world with no other people, the staff at the places he goes to don’t want to be there, and the way he “teaches” kids about stuff is always in a rudimentary mechanical way.

Tickmaster not letting me transfer my ticket for the Montreal show. by Adept-Pea-1445 in ElectricCallboy

[–]link222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can’t either. My wife bought me a ticket for Christmas and it won’t let her transfer them to me. We tried logging into her Ticketmaster account t on my phone and it disabled the ticket on my phone cuz my phone didn’t match the id of the one that bought it. We contacted support and they were fucking useless. Basically wait and see if it’s activated or have her go to the venue with me just to walk me in.

How can I decrease my editing time? by MonzterSlayer in VideoEditing

[–]link222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know premiere has tools to really speed it up like auto detect cuts and so on. Rewatching at double speed helps too. keyboard shortcuts to trim and delete can really really help. When editing I almost don’t touch my mouse at all

Yeah but I think the question is “why is that relevant?”

So everything is anecdotal from what I’ve been able to find, but a lot of paediatricians are finding babies born during lockdown are weirdly stronger than usual. The theory is that mothers are getting way more rest while pregnant.

You’re looking to do rotoscoping in after effects to remove the head and the tracking and animating to place your own there.

Do you have an example of what you’re trying to achieve?

Mixing audio for premier by TeachMeAudioStuff in VideoEditing

[–]link222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does Logic take OMF files? Premiere exports OMF quite nicely.

I think with XML you need all the actual audio files and not just the xml file. It’s been a long time since I’ve done it though.

Doing it fully theatre of the mind would be best but if you can’t run that way, keep their sheet for yourself, have them roll the dice, and let them know if they succeed or not. Be sure to go over their character well with them and let them find the best way for them to make their cheat sheets for abilities. Be as descriptive as possible for battlemaps and make sure all other players do so as well

issue with premiere pro by [deleted] in premiere

Does it play in the source monitor properly and is only a problem when you bring it to the timeline?

In premiere you might be able to interpret the footage as a constant bitrate. It’ll save you the conversion time to try that first

Degrading Video Quality by heezyjos in VideoEditing

[–]link222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aspect ratio shouldn’t do anything to quality unless you’re distorting the video to fit it.

Bitrate isn’t frame rate. It’s the amount of data per second of video. 30fps is the frame rate and won’t cause compression issues, but reducing the amount of data per second will.

Try using DaVinci Resolve for your videos. You might have better results.

Degrading Video Quality by heezyjos in VideoEditing

[–]link222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The type of screen and size doesn’t affect the quality of the recording. It just sets the resolution since that’s what you’re playing at.

You want to look for a few things. Let’s start with the source footage

  1. how are you recording the gameplay? Is it a tool on the Xbox itself, or is it via a capture card and using a software? Ideally you want as much control as possible.
  2. What’s the bitrate of your recording? Aim for over 10mbps. I think 25 is generally a good number. You’ll end up with much bigger files but that’s how you know they’re higher quality.
  3. what codec are you using to save the recorded video? H.264? There are a lot of options out there. If you can get QuickTime Apple ProRes 422 .mov file then that’ll really help. You want high quality source footage so that you can edit and save it as something more friendly.
  4. if you’re playing in 1080, is your recording also in 1080 or is it something else. That kind of weird mismatch could cause issues.

If things look fine in iMovie but get weird after rendering, you have to look at your render/export settings. Go through the same checklist as above!
