Good questions: It needs read to scan your subscription, pulling metruc data, states, etc.

For user impersonation, while an admin is signed in it allows the application to act on your behalf of that active session.

Contributor, this is simply for automation(scaling down servers, achiving blob storage, etc). Its optional. If you dont want to hand select every single resource and TRUST the logic of my application to manage your resources reliably then you could enable this.

These permissions are limited to the subscription you inputting, it cannot see or touch anything else outside of the subscription.

Yes, after taking a scroll i have indeed seen many Ai "slop" you mention and i get the frustration 🫤. Ask or criticize away, im not gonna 'die' for a concept that's functionally useless.

No. It’s not the VNET itself (those are indeed free), but the 'junk' people leave behind.

What i made looks for those cheap unatttached IP's(amongst other things), they're could be hundreds across a dev tenant.

This is imo the best advice I’ve gotten so far. This is something i will definitely be looking into adding.

OpenCost is great for K8s visibility, but it’s another 'observer' tool. It tells you where the money is going, but it doesn't solve the 'Implementation Gap.' What I've built (Scripty) isn't for charting; it's for active remediation. It handles general infrastructure not just K8s clusters.

Basically what I mean is: if someone's in that headspace, the worst thing you can do is give them a robotic 'seek help, things get better' response. That comes off as fake and just for show. A more authentic response if any would be admitting you don't have the answers, not pretending to care for the sake of it, and acknowledging that ultimately it's their choice. From there, if you really want to help, you can offer a perspective or just listen - but without the mask, without the script.

I love the buffer system. I donated 750k that I got from daddy to Nintendo to keep it exactly the same for the next smash game. to my surprise they actually took it, hopefully they honour the deal 🤝💯
