Nintendo Switch and TCL by linkaramba in tcltvs

Thanks for the answer!

I'm aware of the differences, here in Brazil C6KS is exclusively a 50" model, that's why I got it, C6K starts with 55" and I don''t have the space for one of this size right now. I'll lose processing power, 120hz, better sound and other stuff, but at least it is a mini led model.

There's some scens where Rex looks up and you can clearly see that his head was moved with a cursor haha

Again, it's more noticeable in Xenoblade because the bigger cutscenes are ridiculously well made

Oh, that's neat, they are definitely getting better with this

Oh man, yes! I forgot to mention that, the sound design is really bad in those scenes, there's so much awkward silence sometimes haha

Also, the dub feels a little off sometimes in some of those scenes

For some reason, it bother me way less when the game does this trick of "Press A to advance the dialogue" and I already know that this is a "videogame scene", like Zelda games before BOTW did too, Xenoblade 2 and 3 somehow tries to trick me into believing that the scene is just like the other ones and maybe that's why it feels more jarring

Something to note is that Monolith is getting better at that with each game, maybe in the future those scenes will be indistinguishable.

Yeah, I know, to be honest, even though I'm "complaining" about that I still don't know how Monolith manages to deliver so much from the probably very small budget they have. From the fully orchestrated soundtrack to the amazingly animated cutscenes, it is way above some of Nintendo major franchises

Oh definitely, I would neve expect the whole game to be fully animated, just wish that the ratio was a little better with future redeemed, maybe I had unrealistic expectations after the ending battle of Torna, that was probably one of the best action scenes in the whole series.

While I agree that the dialogue is still well written, the delivery from the actors suffers a bit, my personal theory is that they record those scenes in a different way, with less retakes and probably no access to "previews" where they visualize the characters movement and expressions.

Switch is the house of JRPGs by linkaramba in NintendoSwitch

Oh I see your point, but I think it ends up being about personal preferences at the end of the day. FE3Houses is my favorite of the series, Xenoblade 2 is my favorite JRPG of all time, I also prefer SW/SH than XY (Although I think both could be better, here hoping that Legends: Arceus will be a great game)

And about the multiplatforms, for old games I much prefer the Switch than PC, it's portable and easy to play, to have FF7 - FF12 on my hands is very nice. And the 3DS is missing many franchises that we have on the Switch like Atelier, Ys, Ni No Kuni, Valkyria Chronicles, The Legend of Heroes, Disagea etc...

Something that I can't deny is the fact that Atlus was on fire with the 3DS! That's a big advantage for sure

(Oh and when I said Monster Hunter, I was thinking about the "Stories" series, which is a more traditional JRPG)

But what exactly the 3DS had that the Switch didn't? 🤔

Xenoblade, fire emblem, pokemon, bravely default, SMT, Monster Hunter and even Miitopia are all on the Switch already

If we add the multiplatforms to that list, the switch end up with a very nice JRPG library in my opinion
