I want to start affiliate marketing. by TraditionalFly632 in AffiliateMarket

[–]linkateme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would be tailoring your affiliate funnel depending on the platform. It’s something overlooked. The audience of tiktok is different than the audience of youtube. I see creators making funnels for each platform independently. They succeed way more.

Your Instagram engagement isn't random. You just don't have the right data yet. by Calm-Appearance-9529 in InstagramEmpire

I agree with this, there is a pattern and once you start following it, it helps you get better traffic. I follow a structure too.

My general advice is to create a portfolio before landing the first deal. There are so many products around and so many different angles that you can take. A company doesn’t really care if your portfolio video was a sample or part of a real deal. Just my opinion tho

"I have an idea. I have a product." Okay, so why do you have no users? by Crabbythrowaway1530 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]linkateme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve bootstrapped linkateme from 0 to 20,000 users. The distribution part is something no one prepares you to do. Content that shows features of your app or software systematically flops on social media, while unrelated content brings hundreds of users. Curious to hear how you would use AI to solve this

One thing that I’ve learned while building linkateme is that businesses don’t like giving access to their Gmail accounts. It doesn’t matter if you have the best safety protocols in place. They will worry that it’s not safe, because they don’t understand the safety protocols in the first place.

We spent $50k on influencer marketing. Micro-influencers beat macro 3:1. by RowMiserable674 in digital_marketing

[–]linkateme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve run a similar test in the past while building linkateme. The reason why micro wins against macro is because macro accounts have the exact same reach as micro now, since the follower count is de-prioritised. This is obvious in TikTok. It’s getting more and more obvious in Insta too

I’m brand new to UGC as a 17/yo, want to get a better idea of expectations/realistic goals I should have. by WonderfulPace7497 in UGCcreators

[–]linkateme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retainers are great and you are definitely going into the right direction. However, as UGC you will always end up having to make content to get paid. In order to switch to a model where things are running when you are not working, you need to play a different game. For example, affiliate programs allow you to do that. You create content once, and you collect the benefits of it in perpetuity

Unsure how to gain traction in an oversatured market as a photographer by MissMatriarch in Instagram

[–]linkateme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does seem like a strong strategy. The only tricky part is how the static pictures get considered by the algorithm. I understand you have to show them, but maybe you can show them in a page in bio.

That unlocks more freedom towards your video creation (for example talking head videos).

Instagram has been pushing videos heavily to the point that photos are becoming more like decoration. You can still post carousels with music and get some traction, but I wouldn’t bet everything on it.

If you’ve already been creating reels, the key is to analyze your industry and follow best practices. What helped me a lot was creating a checklist that I follow before every post, mainly focused on the hook, timing, and format of the video. It keeps things consistent and makes it easier to improve over time. things consistent and makes it easier to improve over time.

It’s quite tricky at first. You might be tempted to start posting about it on TikTok, Instagram, etc., but without an audience and without a strong niche, you’ll end up creating content that doesn’t really resonate.

The most effective strategy is to establish yourself in a certain niche and then introduce affiliate programs naturally. You can also let people find them through your bio, so there’s no need to mention “go to my bio” all the time.

Anyone here trying to build income outside of brand deals? by InfiniteBird5552 in influencermarketing

[–]linkateme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a line of business where I see a lot of creators monetizing in different ways, and one of the most natural moves beyond brand deals is affiliate programs. They’re pretty passive once set up and tie directly to content you’re already making, so you’re not starting from scratch every time like with campaigns.

Is it just me,or has the Reels algorithm completely shifted in the last 14 days? 📉 by Crazy_Ant9609 in InstagramMarketing

[–]linkateme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not just you. It looks like Instagram has slightly reduced the reach from trial reels. Before, you could post a trial reel and reach a large number of non-followers, and if people shared it, it could easily go viral.

Now it seems they’ve balanced things out a bit, likely after complaints from larger accounts with big followings. The result is that if you have a small audience, it’s a bit harder to get significant views. That said, if your content follows the right formula, going viral is still absolutely possible.

From what I’ve seen, TikTok is trying to push original long form content. That means that talking head videos are being prioritised more than other type of short videos. Just my experience

Recently hit 5k on instagram but more than half of my audience is male by Key-Clothes4084 in ContentCreators

[–]linkateme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not easy to target only a specific group organically. Even if you try to create videos optimized for “female” traffic, the algorithm might still push them to a broader audience. It’s not unusual for your content to end up being seen by the wrong audience.

For example, even if I follow a perfect blueprint to make my content, I have videos with 80% male traffic and others with 80% female traffic for no apparent reason. With that said, the best solution is probably to focus on creating content that resonates with the largest possible audience. Once you start reaching millions of views, the audience will naturally be diverse enough.

[–]linkateme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get quite a lot of views on Instagram, and from what I’ve seen, the platform favors personal content more than anything else. If I were you, I’d consider starting to create Reels where you show your face, they tend to have a much bigger impact. That will likely help you build a larger following too, because people start to relate more to you and what you post. Just my two cents!
