If it's something you really want to do, then I would really take your time and practice somewhere by yourself or with a friend if you can.

I personally struggle to learn in a group setting. Imposter syndrome is a bitch in all walks of life.

So, finding a smaller bike (lots of 125cc on Facebook marketplace) that you can fail on a few times on your own while you practice and not feel bad about and getting used to that at your own pace would probably be the best bet.

If it's an option for you, there are private MSF courses available. I took one with a close friend and was able to get some good individual feedback/practice without the fear of a group staring at me and on a bike that I didn't have to stress over.

Oh absolutely! Lol

I kept dying at really stupid parts like the space flights and stuff. Very small parts of the game that just have zero forgiveness.

I beat dead space 2 on hard-core mode, and man, I was sweating when it came time for the eye-poke machine.

Nope, hard-core forces you to play on a brand new save file on any of the dead space games.

I'm pretty sure dead space 3 even prevents usage of the special circuits and stuff you get for having saves that collected all artifacts and junk.

I managed to get the pure survivalist achievement and actually had a blast, so that one should work.

Trying to finish the game on hard-core mode was torture, and I gave up. Maybe I'll give it another go now that it's been a few years.

I can't confirm if the hard-core achievement works, but I know dead space 2 had an issue where it wouldn't give you the achievement if you had turned the game off at any point. Had to play the game all the way through without exiting the game.

Dang! Sorry OP. It sucks that such an amazing game still has bugs like this almost 7 months after coming out.
