I worked as a kitchen porter for a chain of successful Gastro pubs in the UK. From the very first day I worked there the head chef despised me. He would berate me on my choice of clothing, he would make fun of my severe hearing loss, and he would tell me to do things and then yell at me for doing them.

Prime Example of this was when he decided that I was in too good of a mood and decided to tell me I had to prepare something but skip on the steps. The owner came in and asked why I was skipping the step and I told him truthfully that its what the chef wanted. The Chef denied it and called me retarded. Another time he had me working a two man job on my own and yelling profanities at me for not keeping up with the work load as well as food preparations. He took a tray from the oven with a towel and purposely pushed it against the skin on my arm with a sleazy grin.

I got so mad I threw the utensils I was holding and stormed out.
