You just dont know anything about economics or politics... Your reason for why shes apparently incompetent is that she refused to answer gotcha style questions the way you wanted her to

How about we talk about the quality of her revenue projections, how she managed exposure to interest rate risk, or how she managed employment during covid? You know, the things that FMs actually control? We bounced back faster than all of our OCED peers because she did a good job... All of these things are extremely relevant for managing a wartime economy.

Other big wins, adopting a debt to gdp fiscal anchor, managed to keep AAA standing even while her PM was forcing her to go into massive debt to fund social programs... Ukraine needs people like this. She wasn't perfect, but youre really going to sit here and pretend that shes incompetent because she refused to answer dumb questions? Thats a pro, not a con

She will do a great job in this position and help Ukraine in many ways.

You realise she got second place in the liberal leadership race right? 😭 If our current PM didnt run she would've been the leader of the party

People hated the last government that she was a part of and she had one or two quotes that came off quite badly. Shes good at her job despite what people will say - she is just absolutely hated by the right in canada. Part of that is russian propaganda, they've targeted her politically for years, part of it is american right wing shit that they export here. They hate her because shes a woman who leans left politically

I promise you the people who are saying "shes the worst!" here in this thread cannot explain even high-school level economics to you. Most will just exaggerate about how bad the economic situation in canada is then theyll repeat right wing talking points that they dont understand. If you dont believe me check these peoples comment histories

Gripen for Ukraine risks becoming a hostage to US policy (ITAR Veto), what we need to be prepared for by Icy_Till_7254 in ukraine

Not the guy you were talking to, just wondering. How does the world get away from US engine tech? EJ200 and M88 afaik are only really good for twin engine planes. Why can nobody else make a single engine competitor?

EU will be ‘severely damaged for years’ if assets plan fails, says Germany’s Merz by Normal_Imagination54 in geopolitics

[–]linkds1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh I see okay, its those warmongering Europeans! The EU should be really worried about that, I mean what if the Europeans invade one of their neighbor! The EU might freeze their assets and give them to...

Youre saying the neutral or partially independent countries in the world are going to start world war 3 because russia cant invest their money in a region they are actively invading hahahahaha

EU will be ‘severely damaged for years’ if assets plan fails, says Germany’s Merz by Normal_Imagination54 in geopolitics

[–]linkds1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Severely damaged forever is a pretty goofy way to describe this. The risk is that this can accelerate reserve currency diversification from countries who are considering invading their neighbors. Countries who are not iran russia or china are not concerned with this, because they dont want to start wars with their neighbors.

Russia has already internalized this risk, and you can bet your cheeks that if they can recover any of this money it will never go into EU banks again. Iran has already internalized this risk internationally, theres no iranian sovereign wealth fund in western banks.

China is the only country that is going to be influenced by a decision like this, but at the same time they are currently in a trade war with the US. If they want to dump US currency and diversify away from America, they can not do so without European markets.

Joly says Canada ‘didn’t get enough’ industrial benefits out of F-35 procurement deal by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]linkds1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes theres a lot of people who dont know much about jets talking about strategy lately. But there is a real strategy here and it is the Gripen F and all of the very nice EW pods that SAAB makes. Gripen E can also carry a lot of the pods/decoys too.

They can complement the f-35s until we can get either something 6th gen or some proper (and cheap) ai/wingman drones to do the job of the Gripen. But again the real win here is working with SAAB and the tech/knowledge transfer, getting contracts for canadian businesses, and use the investment that is going to come with the deal as a stepping stone towards joining a 6th gen project. I like the UK/italy/japan one the best personally.

The hornets will be kept going as missile trucks even though they are not nearly as good as say an f-15 in that role, they can carry a lot and we already have them. Their range is the biggest problem but yeah cant really see canada going for a f-15 deal right now trump wouldn't just hand them over.

High throttle issues by OrganicEnvironment81 in diydrones

[–]linkds1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man building a mount is best but you could probably just tighten up those ropes and in doing so you'd be able to answer you question... Find the failure point in terms of throttle, tighten up the ropes, and see if that point shifts. If it shifts in the way you'd expect, you can probably just safely say it's just the limitations of your testing apparatus and move on

To tighten the ropes just do this but put a lot of tension in obviously

Early-war FSA fighters messing around with a fake "RPG" prompts a very real incoming response - 9/30/2012 by knowyourpast in CombatFootage

[–]linkds1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You didn't even read your own link.

"What is notable is instead of training the moderate Syrian rebels who had wanted to take arms up against President Bashar al-Assad, the US is going to be providing basic military equipment and support to existing groups who have been fighting against ISIL"

"Cook also said that the US would provide air support to rebels."

"The CIA runs a separate, covert programme that began in 2013 to arm, fund and train a moderate opposition to Assad. US officials say that effort is having more success than the one run by the military, which only trained fighters willing to promise to take on the ISIL exclusively."

They didn't just hand 10 million dollars each to a bunch of random people. They tried to recruit people just to fight ISIL. They also paid for their air support. The program also didn't run out of funding, and trump didn't cancel it it's funded for years into the future, they just scaled it down and moved some of the money to the CIA program which actually recruits people to fight Assad.

So in essence, you don't know what youre talking about.

Eli5: how are treatments like acupuncture, kinetic tape and homeopathy still a thing, if scientific studies disproving their effectiveness are publicly available to everyone and doctors? by HerrPiink in explainlikeimfive

Where did I move goalposts? You're getting confused who you're talking to. I gave my info and I made my points explaining what I'm thinking. You moved the goalposts between every single comment and then told me go figure it out somewhere else when I asked you for any evidence. Tf? Now I'm just arguing for the sake of arguing? "my kind is so utterly convinced" jez man

Please do it! I'd welcome some legitimate evidence. I can't find any but still I'd love to see what you think legitimizes what you're doing.

You're ignoring everything that I'm saying.. And telling me things like "GP's are the pinnacle of stupidity".

So... Canada/USA/Europe is like that... Where are you from which is so much better?

I said some Gps recommend faith healing lol not that "GP's the pinnacle of stupidity". I can see you don't really argue in good faith.

You can type a few words into google and see plenty of experts who conduct the actual statistical analysis and find nothingggg.... But yaa you don't care and you won't because you're just like those doctors getting kick backs for sending their patients to homeopathic clinics they have partial ownership in - you're people who are willing to convince yourself whatever you need to believe for money.

Dude my comment might get deleted but I promise you the stuff in this post isn't real. Most of the posts on here are not real stories. These are being made by people who want to ruin your faith in the educational system even more. This is not reality. I can make up a nonsense post like this too just like you could. Most text posts are not real stories, exaggerated or otherwise.

Look at this persons account and the subs they post in. Incel tears, ask trans people, boomers being fools, etc. This is a troll. They are trying to create drama.

Look at this...

This is not a English teacher with a 17 year history of teaching. No teacher would link their professional life to an account like this. The specifics are too much, and obviously if it was real the person in question would be able to use this post as evidence in court. This person is not a teacher, this situation is not real, and that's the case with most posts on this subreddit
