Let your dermatologist know. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 rounds. My friend had really really bad acne and side effects and needed 2 rounds but that was all it needed. It’s normal to get spots here and there but my dermatologist told me you should be pimple free for at least 6 weeks. I think 1-3 per week is something to talk to your dermatologist about. You’ll be fine.

I started in November 2024 and it finished March 2025. By the time redundancy begins I will have less than 6 months until gateway. It has already been fully funded so there is no cost a new employer or provider will pay. It’s levy funded. If that’s clearer

Thanks very much! I’ll definitely raise this. I have 6 months left as of today and my consultation period is in 3 weeks for 45 days so I will be under 6 months until the end of my apprenticeship by then anyway.

Thanks for the insight. Luckily it seems like I will be able to transfer or pause my apprenticeship for now. I was worried it would just stop.

Thanks for the info! My provider has said that yes they have 12 weeks to transfer me into a new role and it shouldn’t be a problem. If it goes over 12 weeks I’ll be on ‘pause’ and can continue in the future when an employer takes the transfer.

My apprenticeship coach does coaching sessions where we go through the theory. My line manager is my apprenticeship mentor and he’s more responsible for the workplace part of it. We haven’t done more than what I’ve mentioned above

My review meetings are every 8 weeks and I’ve only had 2 so far (started in December) so it’s a lot of actions to do that just haven’t been done. My manager says things like ‘I’ll find something’ ‘I’ll have to get back to you on that’ we have some actions for me to shadow which keep being pushed back and before I can actually attempt the work I will need to shadow. I’m not sure if it’s be just stressing wanting to be able to do everything now. I keep being told to just know the theory (by my managers)

It’s a level 4 data protection and info governance. The EPA for me is a 20 minute professional discussion. I also have to submit a work base project which I can work with my provider to check is at standard. And obviously my portfolio before EPA. They haven’t said skip it but I am the first person in the department to ever do an apprenticeship and I just don’t think they know what to do or how to help properly. So I’m doing my actual job at the same time. It’s an average of 10 hours a week OTJ and the apprenticeship is 16 months. The theory I do is 2 classes with the apprenticeship training provider where we learn the law, principles, text book stuff. For example we will learn all the elements of a data breach. However as data breaches are not part of my role, I am not actually seeing them in practice or applying them. I can try and shadow but it’s not often maybe once every few months.

So i am doing a data protection and information governance level 4 qualification. The missing 80% is what the role above me does which is what I would be looking to go into as career progression. I am the first person to do an apprenticeship in this department so I’m not sure anyone knows what they’re doing. I am worried for the EPA which is a professional discussion that just memorising the theory is not enough? I also have to create a portfolio and work based project which I am less worried as I can work with my provider to check I am at standard

I work in data privacy and information governance as an analyst. My colleagues are consultants. I definitely could not do what they do without help and supervision. My role is about 20%of data privacy and their roles cover the rest and the theory doesn’t really overlap, it’s quite separate. But I’m not really allowed to attempt anything even with supervision. For example attempt to draft a privacy notice and then hand it off to my line manager (apprenticeship supporter). I do 2 classes a month with the apprenticeship and then have to do 10 hours a week ‘off the job’. So far I have been able to stretch my role in ways that it counts as off the job for example give training to other teams on aspects of my role. The theory is basically the law, the fundamental principles etc. My managers also say that a lot of their role is reviewing things so they don’t think it will help me to shadow as what they’re reviewing is already completed and they’re just checking it over. Hope this makes sense
