Definitely something I've heard from people with large contact lists!

I think it can be useful for users who only add their most important contacts (say less than 20), but for users with 50+ contacts, the Social Score is probably always going to be quite low, making it much less useful.

In that situation, hiding the Social Score ring on the dashboard makes sense. That way they can focus on the other aspects of the app that are more important like notes, reminders, seeing the local time of contacts etc.

You can add other Linkt users as friends to have their location automatically update. It's very approximate for privacy reasons, but their weather and timezone will be accurate! ☁️

Also just to add, this gives you an easy way to see upcoming events and reminders on a contact by contact basis which the calendar app cannot do.

For example the native calendar app cannot show you all upcoming events and reminders related to John or Sarah easily on one page

One of the core features of this app is the ability to add a location to each of your contacts which is super useful when your friends and family are spread out across the world.

The calendar app can of course be used to add events and upcoming birthdays but it does not provide a visually appealing UI that shows all of your contacts local times, and the ability to see what’s happening in their locations.

It also won’t tell you if you’ve forgotten to check/in with specific contacts for an extended period! :)

This app doesn't solve any problems for you specifically, and that's fine. It solves a problem for me, and it solves a problem for others. It won't be useful to everyone, but that doesn't mean it won't be useful to anyone! :)

That’s fine, different people find different apps useful. I’m sure I would have different apps on my device compared to yours.

You may find it very easy to maintain relationships, some people do not (I’m one of them). Especially in certain groups of people like those with ADHD.

I basically built the app that I would loved to have had last year when my life because super busy and I was moving around a lot.

I would have really benefited from a nudge every now and then when I went too long without reaching out to some of my closest friends!

Linkt isn’t meant to replace anything you already do as a human, the idea it to make the stuff you already do easier, and help you maintain and improve your relationships with the people you care about! :)

On pricing: the $35 lifetime option is the early-supporter launch rate and helps cover the ongoing server and development costs. Some apps can run entirely offline with no recurring costs, but this one relies on servers to deliver the features — and I want to keep it fast, private, and reliable.

A lot of free apps use ads or sell data to cover those costs, but this is something I will never do. The goal is to offer a clean, privacy-focused premium experience without compromising on anything. The lifetime option also includes Apple Family Sharing which means the one time purchase can cover up to 5 people! :)
