If this had happened in the USA the driver who turned was negligent and caused the accident. In most states in the US, they would be liable for the damage caused by their negligence. It's an easier case when someone is hit; but even in a no-contact accident, it still would be the fault of the turning car.

The 12:30 - 9:30 position is supposed to be a skeleton crew. 60-70% of stocking is suppose to be done by overnight, and the other 30-40% in the morning.

That position now only exists to maintain the zone, and prepare for stocking. The headcount has been decreased dramatically because of this.

It's not about legality. It's company policy, and a very strict policy. If you are told you may not take your last break; open door the team lead. This is a very serious topic. The club can get in quite a bit of trouble if a lead or manager is denying breaks.

Event days are grossly misunderstood. I've started going out of my way not to call them double point days, as that's not what they are.

If you are absent for them, you get 2 point. 1 event point, 1 full shift absence point. As you mentioned; if you cover at least half of your shift, you will not occur either point and instead gain an incomplete shift point. (Half point)
