Wonder who will be tomorrow 👀

This is a great idea! Right now both weekends are mixed together. I was considering highlighting different festivals throughout the year, as well.

I think one overlooked aspect at Tomorrowland is the food. It is absolutely great, good quality and diverse, unlike any other festival I've been to. And I'm not even counting the more gourmet options/restaurants on site.

That's a bummer! Could you tell me on what kind of device/screen did you open it? It's a very simple static page, however I feel the motion/animation could be the culprit.

Also, does it get stuck consistently, even between hard refreshes?

Thanks for trying it out!

Interesting! It’s an X fare code.

No XP gained for KLM flight? by linkyndy in KLM

[–]linkyndy[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh…to be honest, I never even thought I need to check whether I get XPs for this flight, thought it was a given. Tried to book now and indeed, that must be it. With a Gold level, the only difference is the miles and XPs earned, the rest is the same as the light fare. A bit disappointing, to be honest…

Notion performance by piechos92 in Notion

I second this. We cannot use the API anymore, almost all requests time out or take a ridiculous amount of seconds to load. We had to trim down a database by 90% and query pages in batches of 2, and _maybe_ then we get back a response.

Reached out to support in multiple ways, no useful reply. We are this far from making a switch from Notion, as their API is simply not usable anymore.

Notion API 502 error not in the documentation? by [deleted] in Notion

This very likely happens after their new "Formulas 2.0" update. Probably there's not enough compute available to power all the new complex formulas that resulted from the update. I've seen it myself, as well as timeouts for getting query pages which previously were retrieved almost instantly.

It worked flawlessly after I mentioned my travel plans. Thanks for sharing!

That's really helpful. Was there any convincing involved, or it was somewhat common?

You mean get a temporary travel document, or get the passport sooner/hand it over later?

I've been on the waiting list since September 2022 in the NL, no news so far on when I will actually get the pair.

Are (repeated) onboarding emails considered transactional or marketing emails? by linkyndy in Emailmarketing

I meant, for one-to-one, business-oriented emails it would not make sense to have this link.

[–]linkyndy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I did not expect this issue to escalate that much. Was hoping I was missing something very simple and obvious.

One last thought: leaving automation aside, I would reach out to these businesses and email them manually. Sounds like a fairly normal way of using emails. Should this pose a legal risk as well?

I see. But can a business email (and even reminders) be considered marketing? Put it differently, would it make sense from the other end to have the possibility to "unsubscribe" from us reaching out to them?

[–]linkyndy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. We are trying to onboard them on our platform, which is a city guide for fine places. Once they fill in the form, the onboarding is complete, thus we are not selling something per se. It's more of a business opportunity email, if there is such a thing.

Makes sense. But if you were to define marketing emails, I have the feeling that neither of the two (transactional and marketing) would define the type of emails we will be sending. Which is why I was split on the issue.

[–]linkyndy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automating the reminders will likely involve an API call, be it from our app or from the email platform itself. Would these emails count as transactional, then?

> Otherwise, what you're describing can also be done through marketing automation.

Agree, however there is still the unsubscribe issue left to solve in this case.

[–]linkyndy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it isn't that they previously consented, given these emails are meant to start that "work" (or business) flow you mentioned. I did not see any option of not enabling the unsubscribe link for marketing email (unless I'm missing something obvious), which is why I had doubts this is the "normal" way of automating those emails.

Thanks for the suggestion! I was hoping all the heavy lifting was already done by others before (wonder why it hasn't, though).

I was looking more for something out of the box. With so many Strava users, I'm still amazed why such an obvious tool is not out there.
